No crowds of tourists. (They're in Giethoorn Zuid.) Here, you can still enjoy the wonderful tranquillity and beauty of the historic village of Giethoorn. Nearby are the Drentse Koloniën van Weldadigheid (Unesco World Heritage) with beautiful villages such as Frederiksoord (Museum De Proefkolonie). You can enjoy hiking, biking and swimming in the Aekingermeer.
