Wonderful, tranquil place - loved the sunrises on the deck, steps to the beautiful beach, walk to Fish Heads, beachcombing and bird watching. Jen is a super host - gave great instructions and responded promptly. We hope to return!

Great dog friendly rental in OBX! Having grass and a small fenced yard for late/early potty breaks was so convenient. Our dog relaxed right away on arrival, immediately getting a drink and dog biscuit from the provided bowls. What a rare treat to find a place so special for our four-legged family members. :-D Everything was very clean and comfortable and cozy. Loved reading in the sunroom. The house was stocked with more than we could possibly imagine needing in terms of food and supplies (so it's a bit cluttered and not a lot of space for your own items, but nothing you cannot work around). As others have said, definitely felt more like HOME than a rental and we truly appreciated that! Thanks for sharing your home and for a lovely getaway!

Everything was wonderful! We visit OBX every year and this may have been the greatest place yet. Beautiful beach, quiet surroundings, wonderful hot tub, everything we needed and more than we expected! Danielle was a great host. We and our kids (dogs) loved sitting on the porch and deck watching the pelicans, gulls, cormorants and dolphins. Absolutely a wonderful time. We highly recommend Danielle and the Castle. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our 2nd time at the pink cottage. We stayed here during tropical storm Debby, but still had a great vacation. Lauren was really helpful and responsive when it came to rainy day activities and emergency preparedness, should we have needed it. Since it was so close, we were able to pop down to the beach during sunny periods and easily come back if the weather shifted. We also enjoyed many activities in the area, including the aquarium and Elizabethan botanical gardens. My husband loved fishing nearby. We will definitely be back!
