Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Birmingham

I really enjoyed my stay at Annie’s AirBNB. It was right near Rickwood Field in Birmingham, which I was visiting for a few days. The area itself was a little sketchy, but I felt at home once I checked into her place. She was very communicative when I arrived and throughout my stay. She made everything seamless before, during and after my stay. Her place was super cozy, and I wished I could have stayed longer. I would highly recommend this especially if you are trying to visit Rickwood. It is within easy walking distance of the field and also a small drive to the main city.

This was our second stay and we had a great time with our 2 small kids. The open floor plan is great for letting the kids play while we cook in the very well stocked kitchen. Very convenient location to McWayne science center and other parks for kid entertainment as well as restaurants and a cute little wine bar for the grownups. Overall we would stay there again for sure.

Great location with plenty of room for my family. House was well maintained and stocked with all the extras (blankets, towels, pillows, air matress). Enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others. We did get to see several of the wild turkeys which the kids though were pretty cool.

First a big thank you to the hosts. we had a mishap with booking and they were so accommodating. Great hearted people. The space is so big so you can get some alone time. It's quiet and clean. Have a wonderful summer!

This is our second stay here. It's a great place. It's close to the train track but that didn't bother us. The host is incredibly responsive and generally awesome. Highly recommend. The backyard is really nice if you have an animal. It's fully fenced, large and well furnished!

Fabulous house! The location is what made us choose this house, and it had everything we needed. Lots of room. Beds were great. Very open and inviting. Close to everything and so convenient. Very young family neighborhood. We definitely hope to stay here again!

This place is truly beautiful and just so adorable. Hosts were super responsive and it was easy to get in and out and walk to coffee shop and restaurants, was super convenient to the event that I came for. As others mentioned the train sounds are noticeable - I ended up wearing noise canceling headphones my second night and I also recommend an eye mask- the parking lot lights are quite bright that are across from the place, even with the blinds closed. Bed was comfy and the couch was lovely. The decor is also super cute.

Britney’s place was the best Airbnb we have ever stayed at. I could live there. Felt very homey and comfortable. It is a large one bedroom loft that is very spacious. The building is right in the heart of Birmingham with lots of great restaurants within walking distance. We will stay there again.

This is exactly the place we needed for a quick couple nights downtown. It was in a great location and we loved how close it was to the science museum for our kid (highly recommended if you have children!). It was very quiet and exactly as described.

We went for a wedding weekend and enjoyed our stay. Great location. Close to so many restaurants. Place was clean, cozy, and absolutely perfect for my husband and I. Would definitely stay here again!

Susan was a great host. We had a problem with the A/C, but she addressed it right away and resolved the issue. And for our one day inconvenience her refunded our full amount. If the property is available I will be staying there again. Thanks.

Great studio! The place was well furnished for 2-3 people. The building itself is quiet, and I loved that there was a parking spot in the garage for us. The neighborhood felt safe, although the street was noisy (not surprising in a downtown area), so I’d recommend using a sound machine app or earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. The studio was as described and Chris was very responsive and helpful when we had questions. We had a great time in Birmingham and at his place! Would stay again.

I stayed here while working this past week in Birmingham. The location was perfect!!! The instructions on how to enter the building were so easy to understand and it was a breeze to get into the unit. It’s a very secure building. The was an odor in the hall but nothing horrendous just something I couldn’t place. Would have loved a floor lamp or table lamp in the living room but that’s just personal preference. The only “issue” is the unit is right across the street from children’s hospital so you can hear ambulances but so easy to tune out. Loved having on-site parking and you can actually see the spot for the unit. Tried to book it again for July work trip but it was already booked. Would definitely stay here again

My husband and I recently stayed at this Airbnb and had an exceptional experience. The location was perfect, and the building was very secure, with helpful lobby attendants. I appreciated the quiet space, as we couldn't hear any neighbors, which made for a peaceful stay. The keyless entry to the building and the apartment are a new requirement I will look for in future reservations. While we did not need the parking pass, we were glad it was available. The building amenities were outstanding, and we were fortunate to be there during a Steel City concert in the park. We enjoyed the music from the rooftop, which offered an absolutely stunning view—we never even lowered the blinds! While I attended a conference, my husband stayed in the Airbnb and found it very comfortable. Overall, the entire experience was top-notch. We plan to attend the concert again next year and definitely plan to stay with Monterrius, an awesome host! I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

This is a great place central to downtown Birmingham. Right above an awesome pizza restaurant and gelato shop. Place is exactly as pictured. The windows are beautiful. We stayed for a month and followed his helpful directions on getting a monthly parking pass for the lot right across the street and it worked out great! Would definitely stay here again.

I recently stayed at 42nd while in Birmingham for work. The location was perfect. Easy walk to charming shops and restaurants. Also a quick drive to other parts of Birmingham. The interiors were styled to perfection, with McKenzie's art showcased throughout the home. Furnishings were comfortable and immaculately kept. Such a beautiful home. I highly recommend and cannot wait to return soon!

Condo was perfect for our weekend visit. Lauren gave great recommendations for restaurants & shopping. She was very easy to communicate with. Fell in love with Homewood, such a quiet peaceful place. I even sat outside on the rock wall in the fern garden & read while the rest of my crew napped. Will definitely reach out to Lauren again when planning our next visit.
