Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Bay Of Islands

Spent nearly 2 months right here, don’t think we can find any better place around this area. Thank you Peter, for your great help and your hospitality, all the kids have great time at here.

If you want to relax in a warm home with amazing views, quiet and peaceful, this is the place. Literally a 2minute drive to Russell waterfront with the Duke of Marlborough and other restaurants to choose from. We loved it.

We enjoyed our stay. The house is very well equipped, the heat pumps were great for the couple of cold night we had. The place is very quiet and with a really good view.

We had an awesome stay and would recommend this airbnb to anyone especially if you are looking for a peaceful setting where you can see and hear the sea, which are close by. We were so relaxed and enjoyed the area, just a lovely place to stay and unwind.

What a home! Thank you so much for this amazing property with an amazing view!!! Honestly it may be feel so at home and able to relax and just enjoy. Spa was hot and made the time so enjoyable. And we loved the big pot!!! Great for a boil up!! Thank you!!

Stunning week away over Easter. We arrived a few hours after a cyclone, which meant no power and water. Anneke was great with all communication about the situation. We chose to stay hoping the power would be back on soon. The next day it was. Meanwhile, Anneke bought us wine and coffee and then arranged a generator so we could shower and charge phones etc. Then we had six glorious days of sunshine with the odd shower. We love walking, so explored all the local walks in the booklets and info guide. Every afternoon we relaxed on the deck just watching the ocean and boats. We ended our days with an outdoor bath, which was Devine. Anneke was a wonderful host. A true legend. The Bach was beautiful, clean, new and private. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay at the location. Sadly, the fireplace was not working. (It had been one of the "selling points" for selecting this venue.) There was a heat pump though which kept us warm. Lovely location/views. Great facilities - including a great coffee machine and a special 'red light' torch to allow us to go kiwi-hunting. Andrea was very helpful and kept in touch. All in all, a lovely vacation.

We hit the jackpot with Michaela and Dans place, a great place to stay for a bit while visiting bay of islands. We loved our stay here. Good location. Amazing appartement and views and great communication all around. Would recommend!

Second time I’ve stayed at Hayley’s. Easy to access, peaceful, clean, tidy and has thoughtful touches that make the stay pleasant and comfortable.

Jenny is an Amazing Host ,very friendly very easy to engage with ,she made us feel like her house was ours, We arrived an hour before check in , but she allowed us in,the apartment was in spotless condition with excellent views and easy walk into town also had everything inside we needed ,we all felt very comfortable. I would highly recommend Jenny's apartment to anyone wanting somewhere to stay in Paihia for a Bay of Islands Escape.

Tapeka view is a wonderful spot. We had G&Ts on the patio overlooking the bay and watching the sky turn colour (not a full frontal sunset but the effect is equally as beautiful). The bed is really comfy and the bathroom and kitchen work well. The driveway is a little challenging at first, but completely doable if you follow Christine’s instructions. In fact it’s easier than other steep ones we’ve encountered because there IS room to turn around. Had a lovely three day stay here. Hope to come back again for a longer stay so we can do more walking and exploring.

Lil welcomed us on arrival and showed us the amenities and the wifi password. The beds were neatly made as well as the sofa bed. Lil recommended a couple of walks that we could do and it was as awesome as she described, when we hiked to Smugglers Bay the next day. A faulty light bulb in the main bedroom was promptly replaced. The place was very clean and we had access to everything that we needed. We enjoyed our stay and we felt right at home and welcome. Highly recommended and we will definitely stay there when we are in the region again.

Beautiful and cozy space with the most stunning view. Great location being walking distance to restaurants and the pier. Helen was lovely and greeted us when we arrived. Wished we could’ve enjoyed the space longer!

Our stay at Margaret & Lou’s property amazing. As myself and my partner are visiting my parents who live in another part of Northland and we wanted them to see Paihia which they did as we had the most amazing views. Thank you ☺️

A lovely home with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Come for the home stay for the view! A spectacular vista, from the Whiria Pa, across the harbour to the golden sand dunes. Also, a great selection of books to while away the hours 🙂 We had the generous bonus of using the down stairs spa as there were no guests. perfect!

Very friendly, very tidy well looked after property

The most serene beautiful location. Felt like a million miles from anywhere but best brekkie and coffee just steps from the door and a general store a couple of minutes away with everything you could need. Bed to die for, luxury linens and towels. Possibly the cleanest place EVER. thank you gavin, a perfect stay in a beautiful location.

For a winter break it really was perfect. Best spot ever. The best part....The people! Friendly, helpful. Kind. Every eatery was great. Op shop for fishing clothes too! Had great fishing with " Buckos" Dont miss it! Will return. Thankyou. BnM

Fabulous hosts, lovely accommodation. We stayed for three nights, and all loved it including our puppy. If we didn't have to be back home for things, we would've extended our stay by a couple more nights. I'm sure we will be back again though. Thanks for the lovely stay

It was a lovely relaxing spot to spend a week in a rural setting with sea views out to the Poor Knights islands. A large property, accessed off a private road so very secluded and peaceful. Handy location half way between Matapouri Bay and Tutukaka, although you do need a car to go anywhere. Kitchen was very well equipped including basic supplies. Access to an indoor swimming pool, ability to charge the EV, and use of the laundry was a bonus. The hosts were very welcoming on arrival and explained the facilities and beach access path. Special touches were a bottle of wine and locally made nut brittle on arrival, and acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary which was during our stay. Annette and Bianca were super helpful and responded promptly to any questions.

We had a very pleasant stay here in Paihia with stunning water views. It was peaceful to come home to after touring all day. Easy check-in and good communication from the host. Would stay again!
