Karl's beautiful country home is surrounded by vineyard's and olive trees with serene views in every direction. Peaceful and tucked away from the bustle of town, yet close enough to local Baschi and Orvieto and many other treasures to explore, Karl's home is located ideally. It is the perfect home to settle into and simply relax while enjoying the property, or to use as a home-base in your exploration of Umbria. The home itself was masterfully crafted and very spacious. Every window looks out upon beautiful views, and all the comforts needed can be found. Karl himself is extremely responsive and understanding! We look forward to staying with Karl again!

We weren’t disappointed when we approached S’farina down the long private cedar lined drive . Beautiful stone house over looking rolling countryside and picturesque local hill top village . Lovely terrace and gardens with fabulous infinity pool and pool house with shower:toilet and sauna ( we didn’t use as 37 degrees outside ! We were meet by Veronica who helpfully showed us to the location , she was helped with other few enquires . Well tended pool and gardens by friendly pool man . Inside fantastic characterful rooms and bedrooms all huge with high ceilings and beams . All rooms en-suite and with A/C which was so welcome ! Lots of seating areas outside for quiet reading but also lovely terrace at the back where we ate all our meals . Racquets and bats for a bit of fun in the cooler moments , only disappointment was the bikes weren’t in working order . Orvieto , cascade de la Marmore , Viterbo , Todi, Lake Bolsena all fab . We loved S’farina and would highly recommend it x

We had a truly wonderful time during our stay. The views were absolutely breathtaking. Every morning felt like waking up in a postcard. The accommodation was not only comfortable but also perfectly suited for families, with plenty of space and thoughtful amenities that made everyone feel right at home. It was a peaceful and welcoming place that offered the ideal balance of relaxation and fun for both adults and children. We couldn’t have asked for a better setting for our family getaway.

We booked the house in the countryside and had a wonderful holiday. The hosts are extremely friendly and were there for us. The garden is well maintained, the pool has been cleaned regularly. A nice holiday

We had a great stay in Baschi. Our hosts, Walter and Margherita, are amazing. They are thoughtful, present, and available whenever it is needed. They are good advice and they are visibly nature lovers. Their garden is beautifully maintained, and we were lucky to regularly have fresh eggs, excellent vegetables from their garden, a whole bunch of touches that make the stay even more enjoyable. The setting was perfect for those who want like us, like us, to alternate calm and visits, because it is extremely well located. The house is authentic, an old and beautiful building, with all the necessities. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms too. Extremely pleasant to stay in summer. We were outside all the time. The pool is not very large, but largely sufficient for swimming and in a beautiful environment. In short, we recommend this place, and again a big thank you to Walter and Margherita!

If you want the authentic historical Italian village experience then you can’t go past this place This unit is very spacious and spans over 3 levels with all the amenities you could need

The stone house is really cute and has everything you need. The hosts thought of many details and items to make it comfy and home-like. There are lots of places to sit in the garden, also in the cool shade. We were able to enjoy mulberries and cherries from the trees. Simona was very friendly and helpful in multiple ways, and we met her once in Orvieto where she helped us find a good parking spot. One small thing is that if you like to cook a lot, the kitchen is a bit cramped. But it worked for us anyway, and we really appreciated the hosts excellent olive oil in the cabinet along with all other cooking supplies. Everything in the apartment created a great atmosphere for us to relax, and it is a short drive to Orvieto while being in the peaceful, lovely countryside. The book collection is fun too!
