The Old Byre, part of the original Grade 2 listed Rhydlafar Farm is situated 5 miles from Cardiff in open countryside with easy access to the city centre. The Cottage, sitting between The Old Byre and the old farmhouse is a self-contained two storey building comprising the private entrance, kitchen/lounge on the ground floor with the bedroom/ en suite facilities on the 1st floor. (see cover photo) Guest also have private access to a Summer House with a luxury Hot Tub in the garden.
“Just spent a lovely weekend at Chris' place. Property is quirky, and the décor is something akin to staying at my grandmothers, however I'm being pedantic. Chris and his wife was the perfect host and we had a lovely time. The décor is offset by the hot tub in the summer house which was great, Chris even got the fire going for us so that when we went to use the hot tub the summer house was nice and toasty. The location is ideal for getting in to Cardiff city centre and close to St Fagan's museum and overall was a lovely relaxing stay. Highly recommended!”

Revel in the statement window of the open-plan living room, fresh tile in the bathroom, and upscale elegant furnishings. I double bed on mezzanine level and 1 queen size pull out couch downstairs. Apartment to sleep 4 comfortably.
“I cannot recommend this place enough! The hosts were superb and catered to our every need. Check in and out times were flexible and every detail had been thought about such as spare chargers, toothpaste and brushes and a welcome selection of bread, crisps, coffee, biscuits, wine and other essentials. The host Bev could not have been more welcoming and friendly and I will definitely be booking again. Amazing!”
Our quaint outhouse has been lovingly transformed this year into a cosy and snug studio space. Newly refurbished to a high standard it offers everything you need for a home away from home! With its own entrance means you have all the privacy you need.
“My friend and I stayed here for a couple of days and had a really lovely experience. Communication was great, check in was easy with a lockbox and we even got to check in a little earlier which was great. The whole place smelled beautiful and was spotless. There were lots of thoughtful little touches such as slippers, cakes and granola which were greatly appreciated! We were left to our own devices (which suits me perfectly) but the host was easy to contact should we have needed anything. Location was perfect for getting into the centre. Would highly recommend this listing to anybody. Thanks for a wonderful stay :)”
