Holiday apartment for nature lovers

Rathmannsdorf is located in the heart of Saxon Switzerland, close to the Malerweg and the spa town of Bad Schandau with good connections to the network of hiking and biking trails as well as by bus and train. Your holiday apartment on the ground floor of our house is ideal for 4 people. If necessary, the sofa bed in the living room can accommodate 2 more guests. We live on the upper floor of the house with dog and cat. The city tax is to be paid at the arrival. It is 2€/person per night or 1€/night for children.

The Schwalbennest apartment is located in the side wing of the Hillehof in the district of Ostraw. From here you can enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. Via the balcony you have the direct access to the garden. The apartment was completely renovated in 2023 and equipped with underfloor heating in all rooms. From the slightly higher bed (about 1.00 m) you can enjoy the view. If you are traveling in the company of your dog, there is a sleeping alcove for him under the bed.

Right on the edge of the forest and at the end of the village you can enjoy the peace and relax. So you can start walking right away. The traditional Kirnitzschtalbahn cable car stops in 20 minutes. The spacious and 65 m2 apartment offers a fully equipped kitchen, a modern bathroom, a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, a 2nd bedroom with 2 single beds and a living-dining room with a 10 m2 balcony. Surrounded by numerous hiking trails and bicycle routes, you can start directly from the property. Day trips by car can be made to Dresden, Bautzen or also to Prague. We rent a FH with two and a apartment with three bedrooms, kitchen, living room, bathroom and corridor. In the adjoining garden you can end your day with a glass of wine or beer in our sitting area, heat up the grill for delicious dishes and enjoy refreshing use of our pool. Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. Our house is on a side street but still many destinations are optimal to reach.

As early as the beginning of the 20th century, our holiday home was considered a popular overnight destination (Logis – Villa Olympia). The pretty Villa Emma is located in the middle of the Saxon Switzerland National Park and awaits you. Villa Emma was built in 1870 and completely renovated in 2014. In our house you can also enjoy massages and cures in the naturopathic practice Huxol. The 6 modern apartments are elegantly furnished and feature a living area with a flat-screen TV, 1 to 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower.
