Holiday rentals with lake access in Avon

We loved our stay at the Lost Loggerhead! Richard and Stephanie remodeled the house and did a phenomenal job of making it a “comfortable home” and not just a place to stay. Highly recommend this house especially for a family with several kids or even two very small families. Thank you Richard and Stephanie!

This setting was a gem! The location was on a canal (water view from the kitchen window) and close to beaches, surfing, restaurants, and all that Hatteras has to offer! Hannah has an exquisite eye for detail in both furnishings and amenities. It’s a picture perfect beach retreat with wood, cotton, and linen accents. The bathroom floor was even marble! The kitchen was so well equipped with an ice machine, coffee/espresso machine, and basics. The beds were comfy and the sheets, linens, and towels were high quality. The outdoors.. no stone unturned. Hanging chairs, hot tub, paddle boards, kayak, darts, a grill and a dock. Even an outdoor shower. If you are lucky enough to snag this one, then you are in for a treat. We would LOVE to return. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful beach retreat in a quiet, residential neighborhood! Thank you, Hannah - we’ve stayed in some great places and this rated with the top! It was all that we envisioned and needed!

This place was amazing! Spacious, comfortable beds, beautiful location, grocery store, shops and restaurants nearby. The layout of the house was perfect for my adult children and their families to have privacy but allowed us to spend quality time together. There are plenty of games and puzzles for all age groups. Definitely want to go back next year!

absolutely loved staying at Elissa’s place! it was perfect for my 26th birthday lots of restaurants close by & the beach as well. quite, and peaceful neighborhood! perfect for a vacation. Elissa was very responsive whenever i had a question or concern. thank you so much! 10/10 recommend staying here!

We really enjoyed staying at “Isha” The views were amazing and the location is great. Booked last minute so we were able to get it for 3 nights which worked out perfect because it’s hard to find a house so nice without having to book for a whole week. We had a great long weekend in Avon and will definitely consider this house for future vacations.

The house was beautiful and the listed of amenities were all there! It fit all of us comfortably and felt like home for us. One thing myself and the rest of the group were not too happy about was that we were not given an early checkin which I asked numerous times. Even went by the house a couple times on check in day and it was empty all afternoon. I think this option for additional money is key for people traveling far with kiddos. Vacasa communicated well with other issues and instructions.

The home had pretty much anything you could need. The kitchen had a lot of everything (plates, utensils, cookware). The host was very responsive and very friendly. Overall, a great experience!

We weren't able to find a place for our family OBX getaway as early as we normally do because of conflicting schedules...but we're really happy that, after looking at properties all the way from Hatteras to Corolla, we were lucky enough to find this house and that it was available at a time that worked for us! The neighborhood is secluded and has a great mile loop for a.m. runs. The private boat ramp was great for launching our kayak and SUPs for paddling around the sound. Getting to the beach was no big deal, even with little ones...we rented a 2 wheel beach cart from DVO and rode our bikes after setting up the shade. The house itself is very comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen and nice pool. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of bathrooms...even one on the deck poolside. Matt was both proactive and responsive if we needed to know anything. Our two weeks seemed to fly by!

This was our first trip to Ocracoke and it exceeded our expectations! The Grey Pearl was so clean and conveniently located, with a fantastic screened porch—we couldn’t have asked for nicer! Jennifer made communication easy and we had everything we needed at the cottage. It was well cared for and lovingly furnished. We’re looking forward to visiting again!

Another fantastic Spring Break at the Best Box! The nicest, cleanest, most relaxing rental we’ve ever found. Didn’t think the property could be any better than it was last year, but the owners have managed to make many creative and thoughtful upgrades. Enjoyed days at the beach, days on the sound, chartered a boat for fishing, ate tons of seafood, and saw the best sunsets right from the deck. Literally took advantage of everything in this house - from crabbing to fishing to baggo to flying kites to playing board games to darts and foosball. Oh and kayaking, relaxing in the hammock, and tubing, too.

Dare Dream was just as pictured on the photos. The kitchen was amazing and incredibly well stocked, and the beds were comfortable. The proximity to the beach was perfect for us and just what we were looking for.
