A gorgeous cottage, spotlessly clean and exactly as described. Hawes is a busy place, understandably with its setting and attractiveness, but Mabels Cottage has the benefit of just being out of the centre enough (but only about 200 yards or so) that it's quiet and peaceful. I have never brushed my teeth with such a stunning view (looking over fields of drystone walls, lambs and towards Buttertubs Pass), that from now on its going to revert to a mundane task rather than a pleasure! Mabels Cottage is highly recommended, and if you are thinking of visiting Hawes then I doubt you'll find anywhere better.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming cottage in the Yorkshire Dales. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The cottage is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and filled with thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special. The cosy living area with a log burner was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the stunning countryside. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to cook meals, and the comfortable bed ensured a great night's sleep. The location was ideal—peaceful and picturesque, with lovely walking trails right on the doorstep. Our host was incredibly welcoming and provided helpful recommendations for local pubs and attractions. We truly couldn't have asked for a better stay. If you're looking for a warm and inviting escape in the Dales, this cottage is perfect. We will definitely be back!

A lovely apartment in beautiful countryside. The apartment was spotless and very neat tidy and well appointed. Penny is a very friendly host.

We had a lovely stay for bank holiday weekend! Super clean and thoughtful place to stay with beautiful surroundings. It could get a little on the cold side so make sure to pack layers especially for overnight but the portable heaters were very good to warm us up - we didn’t use the fire and I would imagine that would keep it much warmer! Overall a fabulous stay.
