Hawks Barn is a refurbished, self contained, two bedroom getaway, located a stones throw from Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey). Surrounded by stunning views and walks, the barn is just 10 minutes from Newbury and Whitchurch station to Paddington and Waterloo. Opposite the main house, with parking for 2 cars, the barn has a king bedroom and a twin bedroom, and a small bathroom. Downstairs is a modern sitting room with a 7-seater sofa, large TV, fully fitted kitchen, and a dining and work space.

Privately located in my back garden there is a large open plan room with 2 double sofa beds, sleeping 4, a slate bed pool table & Hi Fi system. There's a luxury en suite bathroom with copper bathtub, shower, basin & WC. There are basic kitchen facilities with kettle, toaster, double hot plate, microwave & grill, sink & refrigerator/freezer. A veranda with 2 bbq's & seats plus lower deck overlook the river.

In the pretty hamlet of Freefolk you will find a charming secluded Shepherds hut set in 12 acres, and includes a hot tub & pizza oven, WiFi, gas hob, king size bed, sofa, dining table, toilet, shower, fridge freezer, stove, solar electricity and fire pit - it has everything you need. It overlooks our horses, sheep & chickens. A short walk will take you to the award winning Watership Down Inn & Bombay Sapphire distillery. The surrounding area boasts beautiful walks. Historic 16th Century thatched cottage, Hampshire

Right in the middle of Jane Austen country, this famous chocolate box 16th Century Grade II listed cottage, the oldest house in the village, is chocca-block full of history. It was home to the Archbishop of Canterbury, Queen Victoria's right-hand man, who not only christened and crowned the Queen but then went on to marry her Prince Albert. Set in the a picture-perfect Hampshire village full of thatched cottages and surrounded by gorgeous walks it is the perfect country retreat!

A lovely self-contained annex furnished to a high standard in a quiet rural location on the Berkshire/Hampshire border, close to Newbury and Oxford and walking distance to Highclere Castle, where Downton Abbey was filmed. Secluded garden area with seating and BBQ for outdoor dining. The annex is completely separate from our house with its own entrance and there's an allocated parking space. Well behaved dogs are always welcome and there are some lovely walks on our doorstep.

There are a variety of places to eat close by ranging from cosy pubs to fine dining restaurants. Vine Annex sleeps 4 one king sized double, one single and one small single in twin room.
