Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Appledore

Kate and Ali were very welcoming hosts with a fantastic decorative eye! The space is wonderful and the photos don’t give justice to the space or quirkiness which was right up our street. They were thoughtful with a welcome pack and provisions for us to be starting off with, especially the eggs! They were readily available with batteries when we needed them and provided lots of helpful input about the surrounding area. We loved the alpacas and the hens and were sad that we only spent time with Spiderman on our first day as he kept his distance thereafter. We really enjoyed the space which worked perfectly for our party, with access to a WC/bathroom on each level. Thanks again, Kate and Ali

Lovely little base to come back to in the evening. Good location for exploring Devon. Tucked away so you don't feel overlooked. Appreciated the mini fridge and microwave. Comfy bed. Enjoyed watching the birds & dragonflies in the garden. Nice people. Easy parking. Excellent value for money.

Lovely home, well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Great for 4 legged friends with a secure garden and suitable furnishings etc. The home is in a lovely area , with great views over the estuary from the rear of the house, particularly the main bedroom. Bideford itself is very pretty and a good base for exploring North Devon as it is close to the A39 / Atlantic Highway.

What can we say, from booking our stay, to leaving after an amazing week, we truly felt at home. Kam and Bens home is beautiful throughout, there wasn’t one thing that we thought we needed or wanted that wasn’t provided for. Kam met us on arrival, earlier than we expected, and showed us around her wonderful home, all instructions in a helpful guide in the kitchen, even tide times, for trips. Great advice for our trip to Lundy, she even sent us up to date weather forecast . Kam provided us with mobile numbers if we were stuck for anything, and ensured it was ok for Ben to check the hot-tub, when we were out. Lovely touches, such as robes for getting out of the tub, were much appreciated. Superb hosts, will definitely visit again, our daughter and her partner joined us for a few days and loved every minute, lovely walk to the beach, only 10mins away, and the most amazing sunsets from the lounge and bedroom . We really enjoyed our stay in Appledore. The house was a great base, and was home from home. The house was well equipped with everything that we needed. Comfortable beds. No parking at the property, but we always managed to find somewhere. Parking for 24 hours in the car park was £5.50. Dog towels, bed and bowl was a nice touch. 😊 We had a lovely meal at the Flame Factory, and would recommend to others. We received a warm welcome in any of the pubs/ restaurants that we visited, and many had live music on different nights. We would return again.

What a find - what a place! Great accommodation and home from home - lots to do nearby and plenty of great pubs right on your doorstep - kids loved it - we loved it and a real treat !!

Easy instructions to get in. Everything was provided that we needed. The house was very well presented, and easy to use. Ideal location for what we wanted, and easy for supplies (Tescos is very close by). Location was also nice and peaceful, with enough parking for two vehicles. Garden nice and secluded, with a nice patio area that gets the sun most of the day and into early evening. All in all we were very pleased with the accommodation.

We had an excellent stay at Clare’s place in Braunton. We were attending a wedding at a local venue but decided on a longer stay to explore the area - very glad that we did! The air BnB had a great kitchen and living area, well equipped with everything that you would need, and had a lovely outdoor space. The bed was also very comfy which is always a bonus! The location is ideal, a short drive away from Saunton Sands, and slightly further to Croyde where we had some lovely food and watched the sunset on the beach. Clare / Jane were really helpful with instructions and directions to the property, and left a number of useful numbers and recommendations in the air BnB which helped a lot! Would certainly recommend staying here if you’re looking to visit the north Devon coast!

A very nice flat with fantastic seaviews. Has everything that you need and the communication with the host was always exemplary.

Aisling was an amazing host. Answered any queries in a very friendly and efficient manner. Accommodation was very clean,had everything we needed. Great location,short walk to beach etc. Parking very useful. Would highly recommend. 🙂

Fantastic little spot, 5 mins walk to the harbour 10mins to the center of town. Views were stunning and the photo's and description didn't really do it justice, better than we expected. Perfect spot to explore the North Coast.

Leilas appartment has a lovely view of the harbour. The walk down is fairly steep so consequently so is the walk back. It’s a good central point for checking out North Devon.

What a great place to stay! Everything in Ilfracombe was walkable from here. We were attending a wedding at tunnels beach and this gave us the perfect base. The flat was excellent. High standard of fittings and features and everything we could have needed. Louise was quick to respond and gave me really clear instructions for finding the flat. And the private off road parking space was brilliant and hassle free. I would highly recommend staying here.

We had a great stay. The apartment is an easy walk to Braunton where there are plenty of good restaurants and pubs and a short drive to Staunton sands. The apartment was clean and well equipped. It was dog friendly with use of the garden. We would definitely recommend this for a holiday close to the beaches of North Devon.

We had a lovely stay at the loft. It was just as described. Beautiful and comfortable. A great little place for a few days away. The little local beach was fab and you’re only a short drive away from lots more things to see and do.

Great place to stay, 2nd time for us, great views and 5 mins walk to centre and beach, apartment is lovely, everything you need and very clean and comfortable, we have dogs so it’s great there is a porch to clean them off and also a bit of outside space for them in the morning, will definitely book here again.

Emma’s description of The Snug is spot on and her communication was excellent. A slightly unprepossessing exterior belies a very comfortable and cosy apartment. It’s very well equipped with some very thoughtful touches and it had everything we needed for a short stay and was spotless clean. We met the neighbours who were very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend.

Hosts were really responsive and helped out with changes to dates. House was incredible and location was stunning. Really quite location and easy reach of all amenities. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again. Thanks to John and his team

The apartment was fabulous, a real luxurious feel with the biggest bedroom that we have ever had and an amazing ensuite with a shower to die for. The kitchen area in the dining/lounge room had everything that we needed to cook simple meals as a change from restaurants. It was a great base to explore the local area and remote bays. Having an allocated parking bay was great knowing that you had a reserved slot after a day's sightseeing.

Another visit as so enjoyed previous. Easy access even on a bank holiday weekend to Combe Martin and Woolacombe accompanied by elderly relative. Thank you for another great stay!

We used the cottage as a base whilst walking a stretch of the South West Coast Path. It was absolutely perfect for us: very comfortable bed, a bath, a shower and a private garden - everything we needed to relax after a day's walking. The place was spotless, tastefully decorated and very well equipped. Sarah was friendly and communication was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic stay, David was a great host with brilliant communication. The apartment was clean and well decorated with everything we needed. Small beach round the corner which the kids loved and a 30min walk into Ilfracome. Would definitely recommend.
