Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Alta

One of the best stays we've had in all our years on Airbnb. We're sorry we didn't stay longer. Simply perfect and the hosts were always waiting to help us, even cleared more than once the snow that was accumulated in the entrance.

I had a great time at this Airbnb. The house is very large and as I solo traveller I only used the downstairs section but the entire house is very clean and well stocked with basically everything you might need. The fireplace is also a beautiful addition. My only suggestion would be to provide body wash. The location is very private and quiet, within close proximity to groceries stores and petrol stations. A few hours to Nordkapp or similarly to Havøysund which offer phenomenally scenic driving. Alta is a great destination, so don't just visit Tromsø and make the trip further north. I'll definitely be back!

Turelv Gaard is a a fantastic and welcoming place to stay in a stunning location. We had a grest time as a family of 4 with lots of space. The sauna was a great highlight along with a refreshing dip in the stream. We were fortunate to see the northern lights and also enjoyed some skiing on the local slopes. The house is really well equipped and set out with everything you could need.

Very pleasant place to stay. R gorgeous and clean nice location. We were 4 adults and a trust of 9 months, to borrow both a cot and a high chair. Absolutely great, Recommended!

We had a fantastic trip to Alta and William’s house was the perfect base for our adventures. The house is clean, modern and spacious and in a nice quiet area. Our hosts were always helpful and responsive to any questions, giving good advice for places to visit. Highly recommended

The apartment was clean, cozy and full of small, thoughtful touches that made the experience extra special. The location was perfect, quiet and quiet, yet close to everything we needed. The host was incredibly welcoming and helpful, responded quickly to messages and ensured we felt very welcome all the way. It's really noticeable when someone puts the soul into creating a great guest experience-and they did here. I highly recommend this place and I hope to return one day. Newly renovated, clean and tidy home with good standards. Well-equipped kitchen with cozy dining area. Living room with large flat screen with comfortable seating. Sunshade on windows, and roller blinds in the bedrooms. Great patio with more seating areas. Shop and restaurant with take away only 2 minutes walk. About 2.5 km into the city center. Fits perfectly for family. Host Jonas greeted us, knew us around. Always responded quickly and was available. We will be returning. Kind regards, Jørn-Inge

Beautiful and memorable stay! I highly recommend Sophia's place. It is a true gem. We loved learning the history of the land, the home, the barn, and the story behind its restoration. It really brought the property "to life" for us. We loved the amazing view and easy instructions. Sophia was so kind and very communicative throughout the entire process -- she ensured that these Alabamians were warm and had a cozy stay in the cold north! :) We truly appreciated her hospitality and kindness. It was a very memorable and beautiful stay for us.

The modern-style cottage is really very nice, warm, and welcoming. The location is spectacular, within walking distance of the fjord and a pier. It is about an hour and a quarter from Alta but 10 km away there is a very well-stocked food market. We stayed with seven people in April for a week to go ski mountaineering and the location is strategic to reach the most beautiful peaks in a short time. The common areas, dining area, living room are comfortable and very well furnished. The bathroom is very nice although for a large number of people a second bathroom would be helpful. The bedrooms are simpler but cute even if they lack space to store and hang their clothes. Very scenic and convivial the place with the fire pit for the barbecue. Too bad the outdoor hot tub wasn't available during our stay. Annie's support was impeccable, accurate, and kind both before and during our stay.

Trond was very welcoming, he took us to the mountain on a snowmobile! The accommodation is very nice in winter and sufficiently equipped. The view is beautiful and the magical corner for strolling, even in winter with the snowshoes provided by the host. Just a shame for the sauna which is a little small

We only landed in Alta at night (23:00). Check-in was no problem at all and Kjell-Otto was always easily accessible and responded quickly and accurately. I highly recommend having a rental car to get to the cabin and be flexible as it is about 30 km outside of Alta. Otherwise, there are also reliable bus connections to Talvik (about 15-20 minutes walk from the cabin). There is also a gas station and a small grocery store. The cabin itself was a dream to be in. Very high standard, modern and very clean. Everything worked out perfectly and was as described. The surroundings were very idyllic and quiet. We were able to see the aurora lights every other day from the front porch/hot tub. Perfect place to relax. Thanks again to Kjell-Otto for everything! Also for picking up from the cabin and even on the last day and taking them to the airport 🙏🏻 It was beautiful 👍🫶🏻

Randi was an amazing host! She really went out of her way to make us feel super at home in her lovely cabin. The place is gorgeous; a beautiful cabin in a remote, natural location. We had a great time, thank you Randi!

A great place to relax in a beautiful location. The house has everything you need. The host is attentive and easy to communicate with. I definitely recommend it.

Where do I even begin... If there was an option with 1000 stars I would give 1000 stars. So amazing. The house is just awesome, it has everything and more. It's spotless, cozy and nicely furnished. The nature surrounding it something you don't see every day. So peaceful and serene. There are many different birds in the area, reindeer and bunnies. It's great for birdwatching and hiking. Wherever you look, you see a postcard scene. This island is so beautiful, I almost don't wanna tell anybody about it, so it remains pure as it is. Me and my dog had the best time ever and even the dog was sad to go. Beathe is such a lovely host, she picked me up upon arrival and was there, answering in seconds when I had any questions. Really the perfect host. Her aunt and uncle even brought my heavy backpack to the harbor upon my departure. We loved our stay in her lovely home. We stayed in a period of time with a lot of snow, Kristine made sure that we could easily access the cabin and we had a very beautiful view of snowy trees. The house is new, very clean and cosy, we felt at home straight away! Thank you for letting us stay, we felt very welcome!:)

The accommodation was the best part of our stay in Alta. When we thought of a place where we could make the most of our experience in the Arctic Circle, we never imagined that there could be something so magical. A snowmobile trail, northern lights, a cabin that couldn't be more cozy, a Jacuzzi, an outdoor igloo to grill and not get cold while watching the northern lights and all the snow around, an outdoor area in the woods with a zip line and a swing. It was an incredible experience, undoubtedly the best in Alta. I would pay a lot more to enjoy this place, because for everything it offers, the price is great. Unbeatable!!! Thank you!!!
