Fantastic living and sleeping in Nierstein a.Rhein

The apartment is close to Nierstein train station. The Rhine promenade and the city center can be reached in a few minutes on foot. A 20-minute walk and you are in the old imperial city of Oppenheim, which is worth seeing. By train you can get to Mainz in 20 minutes. You'll love the place because of the cozy atmosphere, the comfortable four-poster bed, the fully equipped kitchen and the large bathroom. The place is particularly good for couples, solo travelers, and cyclists.

Comfortable apartment in the historic vineyard

The historic winery was built in 1864 and has been under renovation of buildings for several years. Since 2018 it has been called "Grünwalder Hof". At the same time, we are gradually rebuilding the viticulture that has been withdrawn from previous owners. In the meantime, the entire water, electrical and gas supply has also been completely renewed and a low-temperature condensing boiler has been installed. Aldi and Rewe are about 170 and 260 meters away, respectively.

Charming, former farmhouse without TV

In the centre of the wine village of Bechtheim (pop. 1800), on a residential road with hardly any traffic, you have the renovated farm worker's house of a former winery all to yourselves. The kitchen is our little museum, which you can not only look at but also use. On the first floor there are two bedrooms (one with a double bed, one with two single beds) and a bathroom. We do not have a television! But we do have a beautiful garden, which can be used until 10 pm.

The accommodation is so incredibly beautiful and elegantly furnished that you can hardly believe it at first glance. The view of the vineyards, the great sofa, the bed, the kitchen, the fantastic bathroom...all pure luxury and sooo incredibly stylish. Simply a dream. Stefan showed and explained everything to us personally. The lighting control is technically modern and you can enter the apartment with a code, so you can neither lock yourself out nor lose a key. We were very sad when we had to leave and hope to be able to come back soon. (apart from the apartment, you can visit about 200 wineries from Herxheim👍🍷) Thank you for the perfect short break. We stopped at Felix’s place on our way home from Switzerland. We really liked the apartment. It is spacious and beautifully designed and furnished., and a short distance from the autobahn. The large garden is shared with the other apartment but as there was no one staying there we had the garden to ourselves. We drove the short distance into Gernsheim centre and had a meal at a lovely restaurant by the Rhine.
