Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Alphen aan den Rijn

We stayed a week in this beautiful house by the lake. Nature is unique the view of the lake and the seabirds spectacular. You have absolute peace and, if you want, you can also go out a bit by rowing boat. Gouda, Rotterdam and The Hague are super quick to reach if it rains or you want to see something different. We felt very comfortable in the house. There are probably some flight bugs due to the lake location, but at least at this time of the year there were no stinging specimens. We would come back back.

We had 4 very nice days in the idyllic surroundings and the very nice house. There were five of us there and we had a dog with us too. Everything was a great fit. Going to the cottage and exploring the area was also really fun. We would definitely love to come back again. Best regards and thank you. Winkler family

Lotte and Juan welcomed us very warmly. Lotte had already stocked the fridge with treats for the first breakfast - including eggs from her own chickens and homemade jam! The little cottage was perfect for the two of us. We didn't notice the other guests in the front house and also Juan and Lotte have the perfect mix of good conversations and discretion on it! You can get to the village very quickly on foot, there is everything you need and otherwise you can get everywhere easily! We immediately felt at home and would be happy to come back 😄

Our hosts gave us useful tips for visiting the mills, Rotterdam and the surroundings of the cottage. They are friendly and helpful.

The stay was responsive to our expectations. The house, arranged on two levels, is very nice and comfortable for 10 people (we were 4 adults and 6 children). The living area, arranged on the second floor, is fantastic to live, starting from the table to the children's play area. The 4 bedrooms on the lower floor are spacious, 2 of which have a private en-suite bathroom. John was immediately proactive to our requests and so on until the end of the stay.

Nathalie is a great hostess! She welcomed us so friendly, helpful and with a small gift. Her tips for the area were so useful, thank you for that. The amenities are as described, the area is quiet and the beach is easily accessible on foot.

We were in Noordwijk with a dog and were very happy to find such a beautiful accommodation with a dog. We would recommend this stay to anyone! The location was a dream and also the Blue Beach House is just great! Noordwijk with dog is very worthwhile. A great place with lots of delicious and beautiful places!

Comfy and homely this period house was perfect for our short stay in North Holland. The surrounding countryside is so peaceful and uniquely Dutch, we were sad to leave. Adriaan and Peter were great, always helpful and responsive and we had a very memorable few days, one visiting Keukenhof which was all we expected and more, just wow and an even more eventful day in Amsterdam on Kings Day! Double wow! The Dutch know how to throw a party! We took the train from Lisse (no need to prebook tickets, just swipe your debit or credit card as you enter the station and then again when you leave - it cost around 12 euros each way) Things to note -The stairs are steep and spiral, there are two toilets, one downstairs in the hallway and one in the upstairs bathroom. There are two showers (one as an en-suite bathroom with sink next to the downstairs bedroom and one in the upstairs bathroom, plus a stand-alone bath) Also the church bells are quite loud if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs.

Great host and great place. Very special venue, extraordinarily peaceful and comfortable with beautiful surroundings explorable by boat. Thank you Erik for taking such great care of us and being so responsive.

Very nice host, good communication and great place. Everything is lovingly and modernly furnished, making you feel at home. Our dog also felt very comfortable. Thanks to the fenced garden, he was able to roam freely there. Highly recommended!

Wonderful airbnb. We had a dreamy weekend. Located in a campsite, but the accommodation is remote, not overlooked, along the canal, super privacy. Great reception at the reception. Idyllic square that we love so much in the Netherlands. Bike available to discover the surroundings, it was great. We'll most certainly be back someday. It was perfect we are won over. Thank you

Magda and Peter’s place was just as beautiful as promised. It was clean and comfortable, secure and private. Our hosts were helpful and responsive to our needs and requests. The fridge and cupboard was generously stocked on our arrival with enough food so we didn’t need to shop for a day or two. The suite fulfilled all of my husband and my needs for the month we were there. Highly recommend!

We felt very comfortable in the accommodation. Amenities were as described and very nice. The location to the beach is perfect. Communication with Patrick was also straightforward and always timely. I highly recommend the place!

Tiny House was a lovely stay for our family! We’re travelling with 2 kids aged 5 and 2 so it can be a bit tricky booking somewhere that works, but this was a really nice stay for all of us. Rik was really friendly and responsive before and during our stay. Everywhere was clean, lots of thoughtful things like spare bags for shopping, ground coffee, toys for kiddos and the little ones got to feed the chickens and pig too - they loved it. We were going to head into Amsterdam but we ended up staying there for the day. There were some lovely hyacinth and tulip fields nearby, we got to bask in the pretty suntrap garden and as an added bonus we got to see the bloemencorso float by the house in the evening - we were all suitably impressed. Thanks Rik for a thoughtfully appointed and relaxing stay, would definitely recommend Tiny House for travellers with children.

We felt very comfortable in the garden house. It is nicely furnished and in good weather, the garden use is a dream. Only downside: the open toilet and shower in the bedroom and the missing sink in the bathroom. It takes some getting used to.

We had a wonderful time at Maayke's house. We were there with a family friend and were able to fully enjoy the stay. Especially great for our daughter: the two dairies with access to the animals, the nearby lake and the sea. Getting around by bus and train was totally easy and like the times before, we were very excited about the infrastructure of the Netherlands. Thanks for the wonderful time and the easier and more personable communication with you, Maayke! Highly recommended.

My mother and I had a really comfortable stay at this property. It is exactly as described and had everything we needed. It’s in a very quiet neighbourhood with local shops and restaurants, and within easy walking distance of central Wassenaar. Jeanette the owner was easy to communicate with and popped round to say hello, and we really appreciated the generous provisions she left at the property. We would definitely stay there again - thanks for a lovely stay.

Our stay was one of the most peaceful you could ever wish for. The cottage was lovely and the area so tranquil. We would definitely return without hesitation. Sander was extremely responsive with any questions.

I can only recommend Catherine's tiny house. We stayed on site for three nights with a dog. Everything we needed was in the house. The location is great. In 5-10 minutes you can walk to the beach and the shopping street. The communication with Catherine was very kind.

The flat was just what we needed, the listing is accurate. It has a lovely patio garden with garden furniture. The bedroom bed is a king size I think and very comfortable with a memory foam topper. It was also very quiet at night, so a good night sleep is guaranteed. Our daughter also found the sofabed comfortable in the living room. The bathroom is spacious and newly done with stylish fittings; a double tap sink is always a winner. We like cooking our evening meals at the AirBnb over going out every night.... the kitchen was ok but could do with more utensils/equipment and more bowls, cups, glasses, ect. having said that, we managed. Location is great, the town is walkable....beach and town centre is close. The free parking lot that Judith provided is not far either. All in all a great base for a couple or family of 3. Thank you.
