Holiday rentals with a kayak in Allegan County

The cottage was cozy and had great views of the lake and foliage. It was very relaxing to go out on the paddle boat and enjoy the scenery. We would definitely come back!

Our party of 8 + 2 pups(4 adults and 4 kids) had the pleasure of spending winter break at Derick’s lake house? The house was exactly as described on the listing. Derick was very responsive and super flexible with check in and check out. The house had everything we needed, bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable. We can’t wait to come back in the summer time.

We had an amazing time at The Dougout! The area is very peaceful and the house was extremely nice and homey. It was so worth every penny. The host had great communication and gave us great recommendations for things to do!

It was a wonderful stay with our adult children to celebrate Easter. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the kitchen essentials and more! We used the outdoor grill and there were plenty of pots/pans, cooking oils, spices, utensils. The solo stove and hot tub were the highlights. The dog run was the perfect set up for our two little pups. Chris' place is very close to four wineries in Fennville and a short drive to Saugatuck breweries and restaurants. Chris thought of everything - Kleenex in every room, touch lighting, blackout curtains in the bedrooms, ample deck seating to enjoy nature. Thank you Chris, we are so thankful you shared your little piece of heaven with us!

We had the best experience at Russ's place! The unit was extremely clean and we felt right at home! It was easy to find and in a very nice little development We enjoyed playing the games and and watching movies and playing some old games on the PlayStation! ! We rented bikes downtown and it was a short ride back to the house. It was a quick trip in to downtown, and there was plenty going on! It was also just a couple minutes to the grocery store as well as the beach. We took advantage of the Kal Haven trail as well as Van Buren state park. We were outside the window of being able to use the golf cart but that would have been a blast! If you are there in the summer, they have everything you would need! I would definitely stay here again.

First off, the host was very nice and we want to send a special thank you for being very responsive and accommodating where you could be, and the location/house was in a beautiful location and setting! Our group that consisted of eighteen 14-15 year olds and 3 adults had an absolute blast! The house was functional and had great space for a large group with plenty of indoor and outdoor activities available. Only cons were: - Road gets a little rough when wet storms hit for a few days (must stay on gravel when saturated) - cleaning supplies could use an upgrade (new vacuum highly recommended) Otherwise the pros far outweighed the cons. Fishing was productive for the kids (mainly adults 😜) and canoes were a nice touch for water activities. If off the beaten path of Kalamazoo is what you are looking, the isolation and setting of this house is definitely one to consider!

This house was perfect for a few days away from busy work life! The neighborhood and surrounding areas were calm and quiet. The description was spot-on about the front room being a perfect spot for coffee in the morning. Our trip up was to go rock hounding at nearby beaches and most were within 20-25 minutes from the house, so it was a perfect location. The Mexican restaurant in town was delicious and we stopped at the small restaurant in Glen, which was also great. We’d definitely book another stay!

It was truly as described. Easy check in and super helpful host. Even checked on us when he heard there was an accident near by.

Great house on an adorable lake! We had warm weather and sat on the deck the entire stay. Close to so many cute towns and of course the wedding venue! We were very comfortable and loved the extra touches like kayaks, fishing poles, seasonings, Pam, sun screen and games. Thank you for a perfect stay!

We had a wonderful stay here! The house was warm and welcoming! Everything was clean and organized. There was plenty of space for everyone. It was a great place to stay!

Party of 10 stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights for a fishing charter on Lake Michigan. The views of Lake Allegan were gorgeous with beautiful sunsets and sun rises. The only thing that we felt that cabins sat quite high above the shoreline with a steep set of stairs down to the lake. That was fine for most of us, but it was a bit difficult for the elderly in our group. It is very possible this was included in the listing description, and we just missed it. Anyway, everything worked out fine, and everyone enjoyed themselves grilling, sitting by the fire, swimming, and kayaking. Kendal was excellent every step of the way. Highly recommend!

Beautiful house and great location. The house has all the amenities and the lake view is absolutely beautiful. Our family enjoyed our stay and hope to come back in the warmer months.

Doug was a fantastic host and the ice house was a fabulous place to stay. Very nice lake and having boats accessible was the cherry on top - fishing on the lake was great fun and having south haven close by is a plus. We stopped at the local farm stands and had delicious local produce. We will return to this great getaway

We stayed at Mark's place while skiing all weekend at Bittersweet. We had a great time! Mark was super helpful and accommodating and even offered my husband to borrow his skis :) he hooked us up with discounted passes and had great local recommendations. We'll definitely be back! Thanks, Mark :)

Really wonderful stay! Beautiful property, house, and amenities. The house was very clean and there was tons of space! It was a great treat to have loads of games, ping pong, and other accessories in the garage- great space. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with dishes and utensils which was very handy. The pond view, trails, and yard space was truly wonderful! Fantastic stay :)

I wanted to disconnect for a few days with my mom and aunt and Justin's place fit the bill perfectly. Dog-friendly, I was able to bring my pup, too. We spent so much time just relaxing at his magical haven bc it was so comfortable, cozy and perfect. The views of the Kalamazoo River were our favorite part. Listening to the wildlife with our coffee was so peaceful and such a wonderful way to start the day. The cabin is so beautiful and has a touch of mid-century flair. We were in heaven and I would love to go back soon! Thank you for such a perfect stay Justin and family! We adored it.

This property is absolutely lovely. Left wishing that we had booked a week-long stay rather than just a long weekend. The whole property is beautiful, tranquil, and inviting. There were a few kitchen items that we couldn’t find (but had banked on having access to), and when I reached out Stephanie was incredibly responsive and proactive and helped us find a solution. We will be back!
