Family-friendly holiday rentals in Allegan County

The cabin was very clean, had everything we needed for a short stay, and has excellent views of a pristine marsh – with fewer bugs than I expected! My partner and I woke up to the sounds of countless birds and fell asleep to frogs and toads every night. It was a dream come true.

The house had everything we needed and more. It was walking distance to a cute coffee shop and downtown Saugatuck. The driveway had plenty of room for cars. He also had a ton of games at the house for our enjoyment. Thank you Gary!

Our third stay at Rob’s lovely cottage. We keep coming back because the location is just wonderfully serene and has plenty of opportunities for walks in nature while only being minutes away from Saugatuck’s downtown, Douglas, or Holland.

We had a wonderful stay at the house. Beautiful comfortable yard and watching the deer from the screened in porch was so much fun. Very nice home and close to all attractions in the area. We are looking forward to returning in the future.

We had a wonderful time for a girls' retreat despite the cloudy, very windy, and cold weather. The house's kitchen was stuffed with spices and kitchen supplies, the closet was full of games and puzzles, and it as very close to Saugatuck for a shopping, food and other attractions. I wish we could enjoy the lake which was right behind the backyard but the weather was too cold and windy for that. Finally, it is worth to mention that Saugatuck Dunes State Park is 15-18 minutes away for the enthusiasts of nature. Beautiful park that has hiking trials and the beach. Thanks Chris!

Peaceful getaway on Macatawa Bay in a gorgeous and very spacious house. Full of great equipment. Ideal location and the view on the Marina is stunning.

We had a great time! The accommodations were perfect for our large family, 8 adults and 8 children. This was our second stay and it was even better than our first. We enjoyed all the amenities! We played lots of pool, ping pong, basketball, air hockey, and more indoors. The large table in the lower level allowed us to play Euchre and Bananagrams while watching and participating in ping pong and pool tournaments! Outside we enjoyed the hot tub and playing bocci ball in the large yard. We also enjoyed strolling on the trails provided. It appears that even more trails are being added. This was especially nice for strolling our youngest grandson to sleep. This property also had easy access to Oval Beach and a State park for hiking and climbing dunes, and close to needed groceries, gas, pizza, etc. The kitchen had everything we needed for the meals we prepared. The large table was great for meals and games while the kids watched TV in the large cozy LR. We already reserved again!

Cynthia happened to be out with her pup as we arrived. She made the time to take me to one of the neighborhood's beach access sites so I could find the path on my own. Her place is well appointed and comfortable.

A beautiful serene Autumn stay with calming campfire nights. Plenty of friendly wineries, restaurants, beaches and hikes. Hope to visit again in the future. Thank you Ali!

Third time we’ve stayed here, it feels like staying at a second home at this point. Lisa is a fantastic host and is definitely the most responsive and proactive host I’ve met on this site.

We had a wonderful visit. Especially loved the beautiful views, quiet neighborhood, and high shower water pressure.

This was our second time staying at Cheryl's place. The house has everything you need to cook, relax, and play indoor and outdoor games. Comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Kitchen is big and ample room for everyone to join in preparing meals. We especially love the outdoor space. The location is ideal - grocery store and other markets close by. Downtown South Haven just a short drive away and about 20 minutes or so from Douglas and Saugatuck. Cheryl is a very responsive host!

Great stay as usual! We’re regulars staying at Stephaney’s place and will continue to come back each year. Beautiful sunsets, picturesque and peaceful area. Nothing not to love at Stephaney’s!

We had a wonderful stay in Douglas! The location of this Airbnb couldn’t be better — just a short walk to the waterfront and all the charming shops and restaurants in downtown Douglas. We also loved how close it was to Saugatuck — an easy and scenic walk that made exploring both towns a breeze. A perfect spot for enjoying everything the area has to offer!

Excellent location!! Perfectly in between the beach and downtown. It would have been nice to utilize the chain ferry to walk to restaurants/shops, but since we stayed prior to it being open for the season, it was just a short scenic drive to get there as well!

We had a great time during our family vacation! The basement is almost like its own one bedroom apartment with a small kitchenette. The upstairs accommodations were large with a master bedroom and bath along with two bedrooms connected to a jack and Jill bath. Our favorite part of the home was the pool and screened porch. The area of Douglas was quite quaint and we could walk to the park and uptown Douglas from the home (2 blocks). The beach and downtown Saugatuck were both within a 5 minute drive.

Friendly staff, very responsive to questions before and during the stay. House was beautiful and was a short walk to the shared/community pool that was covered (but could also be converted to being uncovered for sunny days). Also a short walk to the other outdoor pool. Short drive to downtown South Haven, which was awesome. Meijer was nearby, so when we needed more food or drinks, we were able to pick up something quickly. Would definitely stay here again!

One of the best Air BnBs I’ve rented! Place was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We had kids of all ages and there were a lot of games indoor and outdoor for all of them plus the adults too! The bounce house, pool, and hot tub were used all weekend by everyone and the deck is perfect for hanging out. Drove out to Silver Lake and took some rides around the sand dunes, which was an easy 1 1/2 hr drive from the house. We even used the pizza oven and it was fantastic. The cherry on top was that the day of checkout we didn’t have to strip the beds, start the laundry, sweep/vacuum, and other things Air BnBs usually want done when you’re also paying a hefty cleaning fee!! This place was worth every penny and would not hesitate to book here again.

This is a GREAT place to stay. So well taken care of, very clean with all the “things” you need for your stay. Brian the host is very good to work with and accommodating.

I’ve rented a number of places in this area and Riverdance was very special! The home was clean and well appointed with all you need. Location awesome - everything we like to do (downtown Douglas, downtown Saugatuck, Oval Beach and hiking trails) was 10 mins or less alway. Kitchen well appointed. The star was the pool and we enjoyed it so much! A pool with no fencing between the pool and the river - that is rare and GOLD! Todd was great to deal with and very responsive. Great property, great stay!

The place was great, the pool was nice and warm, and the proximity to town was fantastic. Would definitely stay again!
