Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Alexandria

Great overall. Only complaint was an underground bees nest that stung one of us and the dog. Texted manager & she didn’t offer to come spray. We had to go to hardware store and buy spray ourselves. Also gas tank for grills ran out. Manager hesitantly offered to get some but said we could about 10 miles down the road. Paid out of pocket for these things.

House was very clean. Great place to stay if you are in Ortonville.

What a lovely home and beautiful surroundings!! It was very homey and comfortable for our group of 4 on a girlfriend weekend get-a-way - the kitchen and dining area were perfect to spend cooking and eating together! And with it being winter, it was fun to have a bonfire down by the frozen lake! Our host, Donna, was quick to respond and very helpful with whatever we needed. Our group would return in a heart beat!!

The home was full of fun older home character, but with bright, clean rooms. There was plenty of room to separate with the two porches and screened in gazebo, but we were able to all fit around the large table for food and games. The kitchen has a nice serving counter and we appreciated the provided serving dishes and large fridge since we brought our own food. Two highlights were the short walk down the hill to the Prospect House Civil War Museum and walking along the paved lake path. My sister appreciated being able to bring her dog along, too. Regarding the no cleaning requirements, my son could hardly believe that we didn't have to do all the cleaning work before we left. What a treat! The house also has just about anything you need to feel at home: baby carrier, fishing poles, beach towels, extra toiletries, fans, etc. Thank you for a great stay!

The house was nice and clean. The host gave great instructions and was responsive to questions. Overall a great experience!

This was a perfect space for a friend board game weekend. The house was spacious for everyone and the backyard and lake view was beautiful.

Beautiful home, quiet location.

The house was just perfect for our family of 5 and was dog-friendly (they must remain on the first floor and a doggy gate was supplied)! Everything was just as described and very easy to access. It was a quick walk to the lake, quiet, and had very easy instructions. For our daughter with a disability, it was great to have a bed on the first floor with a bathroom right there. Absolutely everything was clean and ready to go. The host family thought of everything a family could possibly need and more. From a full array of tea/coffee to ziploc bags to store our daughter's treasures from the flea market! Having the mud room in the back was so helpful in leaving our shoes and items from hikes and walks with the dogs. We spent a whole day on an adventure to find all of Thomas Dambo's trolls with a picnic, a day of shopping, and a day exploring everything else in the surrounding towns. I would highly recommend this home!

We loved our stay. The home was spacious with lots of linens and sleeping options for our large group. A couple of great parks in the area for our kiddos to play. A couple notes - no dishwasher and the local grocery store has a pretty limited selection with the nearest towns being 25 minutes away or more so plan ahead.

A lovely lakeside stay on Gull Lake. Fun to walk over to Ernie’s for drinks and dinner. Would love to return in the summer to enjoy the Adirondack Chairs and fire pit on the beach.

Great place to stay with an awesome environment we had absolutely no issues! Only thing for us was a misunderstanding on my end when I booked it on air bnb, it says you can bring up to 12 guests but we had 2 people who had to sleep on the floor. I’d say it fits 10 adults very comfortably with people sharing beds something I should’ve just looked more into!!

I always like to stay in unique places and this is definitely fit the bill. It was super gorgeous and I loved the backyard. It was also very peaceful. The host was super responsive as well.

My family and I truly enjoyed our trip to Scott's property. The house fit our big crew quite well. The beds were very comfortable. The kids loved the fun spaces in the house. The location was beautiful and peaceful. While there is a lot of vegetation along the lakeshore, there is a decent beach, and some shallow water that the smallest kids were able to enjoy. For the bigger kids, we brought the lily pad out to the middle of the lake, and they had a blast with that. The outdoor living space was great! Scott was friendly, helpful, responsive.

Beautiful getaway in north central MN. The fall colors over the lake were breathtaking and the cabin was the perfect retreat for a group of friends. Spent nights around the bonfire swapping stories. Would definitely recommend. Ev was so responsive and very pleasant to communicate with, too.

This is our second time at this beautiful cabin. Brian and Sandra are great communicators and very responsive. They provided great recommendations for restaurants in the area and the cabin is immaculate. The kitchen has everything you need to grill or cook meals yourself. There is a lot of seating options inside and outside. We rented the pontoon and kayaks along with our stay and spent a lot of time on the lake. Sunset cruises were beautiful. There are a lot of unique personal touches within this cabin- you will love your stay here and we will be returning again. Brian and Sandra are really lovely people.

The property was cozy and as described. Unfortunately, the weather was terrible during our stay, so we weren’t able to enjoy the outdoors and nearby beach. We plan to stay again in the future in hopes of enjoying the outdoors and local beach and fishing areas.

If you're looking for a slice of paradise - Dan & Franci's place is it! The location was private, peaceful, and included so many amenities! A few of our favorites included the kayaks, lily pad, and fire pit. We also took advantage of the local bike path each day. We had a few gloomy days, but that didn't stop the entertainment and fun. We ventured into Perham and checked out so many cute shops and restaurants. The locals were so inviting and friendly! This place exceeded our expectations and we cannot wait to be back!

It is a great place. When first seeing all the homes on the lake, thought it would be very busy and loud. It was complete opposite, very quiet and serene out there. Our family had a fun time and lots of water time. Thanks so much for opening this for all to enjoy.
