In Kita-Karuizawa, you can enjoy the source fishing grounds at the Asama Ranch, the Tone River, and fresh highland vegetables, 30 minutes by car from Karuizawa, and 35 minutes by Kusatsu Onsen. If you go further, Haruna Shrine and Kuranicho, one of the stage of the Taiga Drama next year, are also about 50 minutes away. It is close to the center of Kita-Karuizawa, about a 3-minute drive to restaurants, vegetable shops, two convenience stores, and a raw vegetable supermarket where you can shop for BBQ ingredients.
