Fitness-friendly holiday rentals in Acropolis

My stay here was very pleasant. The apartment has plenty of space. I love the layout of the kitchen, dining and sitting room. Very clean apartment. Very responsive hosts. I will visit again.

Alexios's modernist loft, high above Praxitelous Street overlooking gorgeous neoclassical Athenian architecture, is perfectly located for a weekend, week, or monthlong visit to the center of Athens. It's more than well equipped with anything you'd want: excellent kitchen, sound system, comfortable bed and bathroom, and copious room for working. You'll also get to live among Alexios and Iris's fabulous collection of modern Greek art. I highly recommend their place!

We very much enjoyed our stay. Great location, quiet building, located on a high floor with a nice balcony, strong air conditioning in every bedroom, elevator, washer/dryer, and full kitchen with dishwasher. A few short blocks from Syntagma square and away from the hilly parts of Kolonaki so easy to walk to places from. There is a mini market next door and larger grocery stores and a shopping district just a few blocks away. Marina was flexible on check-in and we would try to stay there again if we find ourselves back in Athens.

The hostess is a super nice person who knows the area well & proactively suggests things that are currently happening in the city (e.g. concerts, etc.) The apartment is 4 subway stops from the city center and is almost directly at the subway station. There are some good restaurants nearby, which the hostess suggests. The suggestions were perfect for our 4-day stay! Especially because local was not tourist food. The terrace is clean and well maintained, but the apartment is on a main road and is therefore very noisy. But that's to be expected when you're on holiday in a big city. The apartment itself is well laid out, equipped with 2 air conditioners and a good, albeit quite small, bathroom.

We stayed at George's house for a week, there were two of us. The house matches the photos, it is new and tastefully furnished. The lower floor is very cool, you sleep well. The kitchen area is equally comfortable with a small terrace equipped with a table and chairs/armchairs where you can relax. The area is quiet, and you can reach streets full of shops and restaurants in about 20 minutes on foot. There are bars and supermarkets nearby. If you arrive by car or motorbike, there is a space in front of the house that solves the problem of finding a parking space... it would be difficult to find one in the area. We had a Citroen C3 and it was great. George is always available, he gave us useful advice on places to visit or places to eat good Greek food. I highly recommend it.

Really nice apartment, very well furnished. The jacuzzi was nice and warm but it lacked of privacy..Everything was as described. The neighbourhood doesn’t have much to do though. And the parking was paid and super difficult to enter. Overall very nice apartment, I would most certainly recommend it.!

the apartment in Nikokaou Gennhnata 16 is a very special apartment in an excellent spot one step put of yhe metro supermarket caffe,'s etc. Irene is an excellent host and she has taken care for every detail in the apartment therefore my stay was very confortable. In the kichen i found all the utilities for cooking cokd eater in the fridge and a welcoming glass of wine.Thank you Irene your apartment was a nice releif after hard work outside.

Fotini's place is wonderful, perfect and cosy place as if we lived in our own flat. This place is located in walkable distance to major areas. Wee enjoyed a lot!

We had an amazing time at Alessandra’s place. It is gorgeous and even better than what the pictures convey. There was so much space and beautifully decorated. The outdoor patio was perfect for morning coffee. The kitchen had everything you could possibly think of. Rooms and beds very comfortable and spacious. It is in a perfect location to walk to everything in Athens. Would highly recommend staying here. We are so glad we didn’t stay at a hotel. We would never have had such a unique experience. The nearby cafes and restaurants steps away made the stay nice as well. The Rose bakery around the corner was incredible. Everything made fresh by the owner daily. There is a fruit market around the border and a convenience store right across the street. The check-in process was very easy to get in. Absolutely perfect stay!!

I stayed at Athena with my partner and wow it was so cute!! The perfect place to stay! The host was beyond helpful and helped us check in and was there to show us around the accommodation and check if there was anything missing that we may need. He gave some nice recommendations for local places as we hadn’t visited before. The place was spotless and clean and overall just a beautiful design inside! I loved the fact there was even a mini gym downstairs! The only downside to this great place was the fact there was a school opposite so there were multiple bells that rang throughout the day and the kids could be quite noisy. If you plan to be out exploring during the day this would not be an issue We throughly enjoyed this place and our stay and would definitely recommend : )

I had a truly lovely stay at Daphne’s home. The house is extremely comfortable—every detail has been thoughtfully considered, and the furnishings reflect a refined, aesthetic sensibility. The bedroom was wonderfully quiet, and I slept very well. I especially enjoyed the little patio, full of plants and flowers—a perfect spot for a peaceful morning coffee. The location, in the Kypseli neighbourhood, was ideal. It’s a lively and characterful area with plenty of local shops, cafés, restaurants, and street artists. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. Just across the road there’s a brilliant greengrocer selling fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts and grains. There’s also a large, leafy park within easy walking distance—perfect for a morning run or a gentle stroll surrounded by greenery. The area is also well-connected. There’s a direct bus to Syntagma, the Acropolis, and other central sights. The metro is about a 20-minute walk away, and links you to the whole of Athens, including the airport.

A great appartment in a quiet neighborhood close to the center and the north of Athens. Super clean, the fridge was full and Vassiliki is an amazing host !

Anna is a wonderful host and the flat is just fabulous --- incredibly well equipped. Anna also left fruit, coffee, home made jam, biscuits, wine! The flat is spacious and stylish and very clean with two lovely balconies. I love this neighbourhood too, easy to reach the metro (on the line that takes you to airport/ piraeus) and right next to Lycabettus Hill, which has the most beautiful views of the city. A really perfect spot!

The home was very beautiful and clean just like in the photos. Its location is very convenient as it is located in a quiet area, very close to the electric. Mr. Dimitris was very kind and helpful throughout our stay, explained the amenities of the house in detail. I highly recommend him!

What can I say the apartment was lovely and George our host was amazing! Our first night we were sent dinner and some Beers! A lovely welcome. Given the time of year, George kindly dressed the apartment for the Christmas festivities, which was well received by the whole family. In terms of accessibility you can’t beat it. Five minutes to the metro station which is a super efficient way to travel around Athens. We would recommend staying here to anyone you won’t be disappointed! Thanks George and Happy New Year!!

The place was as in the photos without any unpleasant surprises. The communication with Ms. Gianna was also excellent, making our stay pleasant!

I would have loved to stay there longer! This stay and especially this Airbnb has paid off every second! The hospitality of the people on site, but also the business opportunities, were more than special. I recommend renting a scooter or car and exploring the island! The capital, Athens, was also very easy and inexpensive to reach. A ferry ride where you can simply enjoy the surroundings and a bus ride through the streets of Athens and you are, for example, at the Acrapolis, Monastiraki. Would go there again next time and explore even more. Thank you for everything!!

The loft was just as advertised. The amenities provided are great. It is spacious and very comfortable with everything you need. The hosts were super helpful and quick to respond to any question.

Amazing accommodation if you're looking for a place to stay especially with pets. Clean and very quiet place. The back yard is directly connected to a park. Groceries, bakery and coffee shop within a 3 minute walk. Highly recommended.

The room is very quiet, I would like to stay here again next time

Our chpice for a pre early morning Athens airport flight. Host was quick to respond and arrange pick up and very early morning drop off at the airport. The apartment is large. Water and refreshments left for us. It was 38 degrees in Athens but the air conditioning was very effective. Its a very secure building. We enjoyed a drink on the small but comfortable balcony before eating out locally. Delivery services are readily available. Above all Maria is an very attentive and friendly person who is always happy to help but also leaves you to relax. We are always made to feel welcome here. Once again , we were very happy to stay here.
