“The apartments (both houses) are fantastic and we had an amazing time staying here! The location is quiet, remote, and with beautiful views, but within a short drive to both Monte Castello di Vibio and Todi, both of which were beautiful. The place had all of the amenities you would expect and Federica was very friendly and always available to contact. We did find that, despite sticking to the recommended temperatures, the gas charge was quite expensive to heat both houses over a week in early-February, but this wouldn't be an issue for most travellers in-season. We were also able to take day trips to Florence and Rome, each a mere 2hrs drive away. We would highly recommend Federica's place, especially for families!”
Nestled in the hills opposite Todi lies our centuries old estate. A 3 bedrooms stone house with fireplace, 18 mt infinity pool, kids' pool and playground, surrounded by 40 hectares of private oak wood and olive orchard. Perfect place for a family holiday, friends get together or couple getaway. We have put our love and sweat to make this place like no other.
“My husband and I spent four nights at Fabs’ place for the last leg of our trip to Italy and it was wonderful. Fabs is truly an exceptional host. Not only is he a lovely person, but he was very responsive and helpful with any questions we had throughout our stay. He has clearly put a lot of thought into the home and into making sure guests have the best stay possible. He helped arrange horseback riding as well as a private dinner at a nearby organic farm, which were both amazing and two of our top highlights. The home itself is great and the setting is incredible. It’s a bit remote and surrounded by beautiful olive trees; it really feels like you're in your own little world. It's only a 5-10 minute drive to a little cafe we enjoyed going to in the mornings for coffee and pastries, and a 15-minute drive to Todi, a really lovely medieval village we enjoyed visiting for dinner and lunch. The home is artistic and quirky, with lots of rustic charm that feels very authentic and fits well in the setting. The pictures are generally very accurate, though the kitchen isn't as bright as it looks in the photos. It felt cozy, though, especially with the fireplace right there. We really enjoyed spending time by the pool, which is incredibly beautiful and well-kept, overlooking the hills and Todi. Note, the second bathroom is located outside, by the pool. Overall, it’s a very peaceful and beautiful place, perfect for a restorative trip. Highly recommend it. We hope to return in the future!”
Il Casaletto is part of the Passo della Palomba Estate, and it is a wonderful villa with pool surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and fruit groves. Wonderfully connected to all of Umbria's main destinations.
“Passo della Palomba is a most exceptional place. Set in a rural environment, surrounded by vine and olive groves, the view from the house and pool is stunning and the surrounding area picturesque and tranquil. The house itself is finished and furnished to a very high standard and has air conditioning in every room, which makes it most pleasant to stay in. The house has everything you could possibly need for a family holiday, supplied with pool towels and freshly laundered bath and hand towels and bedding every week. Shower gel and shampoo in every bathroom and liquid soap for the basins. Ample seating areas outside, both in the sun and shade and a dedicated bbq area with a big table for outside dining. The surrounding lawns and gardens are kept and maintained to a high standard and are full of soft fruits trees, all for the picking. The pool is kept lovely and clean and is a pleasure to use with ample seating and shade and a view that will remain with you for sometime. The games room ( well a building in its own right) was equipped with a table tennis table, bats and balls, which our family made good use of, there was also a small table football game as well. Your hosts, Claudia and Sandro, are lovely people, hard working and passionate about Passo della Palomba, it’s history, olive oil, wine and cosmetic goods all created from the estate, they should be very proud of what they have achieved and they will happily invite you to olive oil and wine tasting events and a land rover tour of their estate. These are a must to do and are very informative, you will never think of olive oil in the same way again! Their wine is delightful and can be purchased while staying there, so don’t stock up too much before arriving. Your host will happily advise you on places to go a see, restaurants to eat in and assist you in booking places where necessary, most helpful and appreciated. What more can I say, exceptional holiday, exceptional holiday home, we were joined by our grown up children and partners and our close friends later on. The use of the annex and being able to book an extra double bedroom and shower room separately made it very flexible. The photos, although representative and true, just do not do it justice, as it is the atmosphere and feeling of the place they lack. This is truly 5 star accommodation within a rural working environment, although at no time intrusive, in fact Sandro’s team were on hand to assist if required and were very helpful when needed. We truly felt sad to leave and will most certainly return one day, thank you so much Claudia and Sandro for making our stay at Passo della Palomba very special.”
