De Oude Smederij

Enjoy and relax in the Frisian countryside? This is possible with us in De Oude Smederij, which was formerly a forge but has been completely renovated into a comfortable vacation home. The Oude Smederij is located in an agricultural area on the outskirts of the village of Arum (on the Elfsteden route) and is centrally located between Harlingen (on the Wadden Sea with ferry services to Vlieland and Terschelling), Franeker (Planetarium and Frisian Museum), Bolsward (Broerekerk) and Makkum, located on the IJsselmeer with boulevard and beach.

Lyts Kastieltsje, a quiet cottage in an orchard

Lyts Kastieltsje is one of our 2 properties. The other is the peaceful East Punsmiert chalet. Both are a short walk from the Waddenzee, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the largest tidal area on Earth. The cottage was once part of the cooling barn for the old fruit farm. It is surrounded by over a hectare of gardens, orchards and meadow which provide a home for our three sheep, bees and many species of birds. The orchards contain plum, quince, medlar and different varieties of apple and pear trees.

Farmhouse Okkingastate

Even helemaal er tussen uit? Dat kan op onze 200 jaar oude boerderij dichtbij de Waddenkust (Unesco WereldErfgoed) en de steden Leeuwarden, Harlingen en Franeker. Het Voorhuis van de boerderij is omgebouwd tot een royaal gastenverblijf met uitzicht over de tuin, weilanden. We hebben een biologisch melkveebedrijf en werken zoveel mogelijk met de natuur mee. Kom je bij ons overnachten dan kun je het boerenleven, de Waddenkust en Friesland, helemaal in je eigen ritme, ontdekken en beleven. Welkom!

A cozy house with a spacious living-dining room, fully equipped kitchen and bedroom with very comfortable kingsize bed on the second floor in a quiet street in Harlingen city. Ideal for a holiday or home office use. Entrance, bathroom and toilet on the ground floor. Close to supermarket, the city centre, Harlingen beach and Vlieland & Terschelling ferry terminal. There is paid parking available in the street or at Spoorstraat parking (150 m). Indoor parking for bicycles available upon request.

Onze Konga float heeft een vaste ligplaats aan ons prive eiland, gelegen in het meer de Morra in Zuid West Friesland. Heb je behoefte aan privacy, rust, ruimte, off grid, natuur in alle comfort, dan is onze Float exact wat je nodig hebt. Je hebt het eiland voor jezelf. Midden in de natuur. Je kunt vissen, zwemmen, suppen, zeilen, of gewoon even helemaal niks. Wakker worden in ons, duurzaam gebouwd varend tiny huis is voor iedereen een weldaad, waarna je de hectiek van alle dag weer aan kunt.

Grand Canal House in Harlingen

The house offers three bedrooms each with en-suite bathroom. It’s understated elegant interiors have been published in the UK House and Garden and the Residence interior magazines. Guests get to use the grand blue room with velvet clad walls and the souterrain kitchen with wood burning stove. There is a peaceful city garden with BBQ and outdoor seating. In the winter one can enjoy cosy evenings besides the various fireplaces, long dinners in the kitchen or baths in one of the bathrooms.

Picturesque holiday home in the center of Harlingen. Unwind in the cozy cottage. Discover the rich history of this Frisian town and enjoy the 500 monuments. Walk in 5 minutes to the various ports on the Wadden Sea. Let yourself be carried away by the maritime activities of the skippers of the brown fleet who have Harlingen as their home port. On your way to Vlieland or Terschelling? Then it is wonderful to relax beforehand in the Blauwe Doffer and start your crossing without stress!

Tiniehouse with spectacular dirt in fruit garden

In the middle of our fruit tree garden at our small-scale horse farm is this cozy Tiniehouse. Beautiful unobstructed views of the countryside with grazing herd of horses, sheep and cows. Fully equipped on a small surface: Delicious double sofa bed with topper. Table + chairs, kitchenette: 2 burner induction hob, microwave, coffee maker & kettle. Toilet is located in the stable at 25 meters. Washing can be done with hot water (5 liter boiler) and 2x shower bag for outdoor showering.

The luxurious spacious suite is furnished with a cozy sitting area, flat-screen TV, minibar, double box spring, double sink, Jacuzzi, hair dryer, a bathroom with spacious rain shower and a toilet. Every morning, the regional baker delivers a luxurious breakfast. From the suite, you have a unique view of the largest tidal area in the world: the Unesco World Heritage Site "The Wadden Sea". This spacious, detached upstairs apartment has a sheltered roof terrace and a living room with lots of windows that offer views of the famous Oldehove and the green, water-rich Prinsentuin. The spacious kitchen has all the facilities to prepare a delicious meal. The house has 3 bedrooms, a crib and high chair, 3 toilets, 2 bathrooms. A free parking space outside and a separate indoor garage to be booked.

"De Mooie Liefde" Tiny house in Friesland.

Our "Beautiful Love" used to be the horse stable belonging to the centuries-old farm in which we live. In 2020, we transformed it together with a lot of love and passion into a tiny house with an old lived-in look. The green staircase leads upstairs to the beautiful loft with a 180x200 bed, with a double mattress and a double sheep wool duvet. Under the loft, you will find the beautiful bathroom and kitchen.
