Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Achill Island

My family and I had a fantastic stay in Noel’s house. Absolutely beautiful scenery. House was so clean and had all necessary amenities. Lovely beds and fresh sheets/ towels etc. Very responsive host. Nothing was an issue. The kids even got to see some newborn lambs! Would definitely recommend if you’re visiting Mayo. 10/10

We had a lovely stay in Jacqueline’s home. The house was very clean and in a great location. The bed linen was spotless. The beach and restaurants were in a short walking distance. Jacqueline was very accommodating of our requests and responded almost immediately to any questions we had. She also provided extra little touches which were a lovely treat. I would definitely recommend Jacqueline’s house to anyone looking to stay in Enniscrone.

Had a lovely stay over the Easter weekend, weather was typical Irish, a mix of sunshine and rain showers, but the house was very comfortable to sit in when the weather was bad. House was lovely and clean, lovely views and within walking distance of the town. Enniscrone itself, is beautiful, lovely restaurants, pubs, walks, beach. Only advice is if you’re going on a bank holiday weekend book your restaurants in advance, they’re quite busy and we saw a lot of people turned away. Thanks Lorraine, lovely weekend, would definitely stay again if going to Enniscrone.

I've stayed in over 100 Airbnbs and this is by far the best. 14 of us , a mixture of adults and children stayed here over Easter. everything was amazing. once you walk in the view us breath taking. The home has evey amenity you could think of. large open space kitchen with high end everything. the underground heating is a great a touch and the house is always warm. this place is made for kids. they have a toy room which kept all of the kids entertained all weekend. perfect for a family get away. room were all clean great big size and extremely comfortable beds. most of all the hosting was the best I've received. the owners could not do anymore for us. even allowed us to stay an extra night for free as they had no booking the next day. lovely people. I really can't recommend this home enough. I for one will be a frequent visitor and I really look forward to staying again. thanks for the fantastic stay

The perfect base to explore Westport and beyond. Very close to a large supermarket and an easy walk into town. The house is exactly as described, was spotlessly clean and perfect for a family. The tips for local spots to eat and drink were very welcome as was the well stocked breakfast supplies. A great place!

Absolutely love this place. A very cool, quirky apartment. Comfortable and clean. Nice peaceful surrounding. Galway city is around 20 minutes away, nice drive too. I found the host really helpful, clear and simple instructions to check in. Would highly recommend. I'd definitely stay here again! ♡

Absolutely lovely apartment, equipped with what you would need in the kitchen in a really nice location. There’s a cafe underneath the apartment along with some gift shops, there’s a large Tesco a 10 min drive away, and the main town is a leisurely stroll or short drive away. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Had a fantastic stay at this lovely Airbnb in Westport. The apartment was spotless, cozy, and really well-equipped with everything we needed. Great location—just a short walk to the town centre but still nice and quiet at night. The host was friendly and helpful, making check-in super easy. Would definitely stay here again!

I had the most wonderful stay here! It’s in the perfect spot. Not five minutes walk from a beautiful and quiet beach with views out to Clare Island, and only twenty minutes walk from the start of Croagh Patrick. Not to mention, the mountain towers over the AirBnb and you can see it from the apartment. The apartment was very cozy, neat, and the perfect place to relax and read after hiking. The surrounding area is quite breathtaking and there are so many things to do! Hilary was the perfect host, very friendly, helpful, and super responsive. She sent me lots of information ahead of time and even helped me after I missed my train from the airport. She is very welcoming and pleasant to talk to, and made me feel right at home. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, I do intend to come back!

Finian was always so responsive. The airbnb was very spacious and clean. Most importantly to us, it was so central, suiting iur needs perfectly. Will stay again when in Westport!

We had a lovely time in Westport staying at Patrick’s place. Patrick was very responsive. His apartment is very spacious, clean and in a great location. The balcony is lovely and gets great sun in the afternoon

Excellent apartment in beautiful village in perfect location to tour Connemara . Hugh was an excellent host and all his advice proved spot on and very helpful . We will be back and will highly recommend to all .

Incredibly beautiful airbnb. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It's beautiful inside - we were all obsessed by the interior. It's a quaint and private area but driveable to Connemara national park (great hike!) and some other charming towns for some excellent restaurants. Highly recommend.

We loved the central location and the short walk from and back to the train station. Yes, it’s on the main street through town and that worked out for us.

We had a wonderful three-day stay at Mary’s place! The surroundings are beautiful, and the location is convenient with great access to the town. The price was very reasonable for everything that was offered. Even though the weather wasn’t perfect, the hot tub and sauna made our trip so much more enjoyable — they turned rainy days into relaxing afternoons. Sitting by the dock with a cup of hot tea, watching the water, was one of the most peaceful moments of our stay. Thank you, Mary, for providing such a cozy and lovely getaway!

One of the best Air BnB’s we have stayed in , particularly for Ireland and for a dog friendly space. Instructions were very clear and accessible was easy. The apartment is very well laid out and has everything you need and more - we only wished we could have stayed longer.

We stayed in Westport for 3nights. The penthouse apartment was a great find in an excellent location (a 1 minute walk to the town square). The apartment was very clean and quiet and anytime with all of the amenities needed for our stay. The local restaurants and pub grub were excellent and Damian’s recommendations were spot on. Damian was an excellent host and very responsive. We will definitely visit Westport again and stay in this penthouse apartment.
