We have transformed this hundred years old, newly renovated house into a comfortable mountain backdrop for ourselves and our guests. The base capacity is 8 people in 4 bedrooms, for additional 2 guests we provide extra beds. Facilities include sauna, ski-room with a hot-air boot dryer and roofed parking space on the property. Privacy is guaranteed by a large fenced garden. Walking distance to restaurants, shops and local ski slopes. Garden Finnish sauna is for an additional fee.

It is surrounded by the imposing new Bauhaus museum, the historic Gauforum and a quiet family residential area. The house itself has been bequeathed to us by our GDR-affine grandmother and, despite some modernizations, authentically kept right in this style. Cottage in the heart of Ziegenrück, the "Pearl on the Thuringian Sea" We have lovingly renovated the house with ecological materials and gave it the old charm of 1904. On 200 m2 on 3 floors, it can now accommodate up to 12 people. The rooms are airy, with historical details from many decades. The house is located in the middle of the Thuringian Slate Mountains, close to the Hohenwarte reservoir, the ideal area for hiking, bike rides or canoeing.

Our accommodation has three cozy apartments (St. Hilda, St. Margret and St. Bridget) each for four persons, one bathroom with shower and one kitchen with dining table. In the attic there is a group room with a dining table for 14 people, a attic room and a youth room with bunk bed. The Casa Cara Garden invites you to relax, barbecue and chat. For the children we have a sandbox, skeleton, Kettcar, trampoline, kicker and swing.
