Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Yokohama

Hiroki was the host during our stay. The place really did match the description and actually exceeded our expectations. Hiroki was always a generous, friendly and helpful host while also sensitively respecting our privacy. And his English is perfect which also helped! He told us this had been his grandfather’s house. He still runs a super community cafe and gift shop adjoining the house. The garden is really lovely too. And the bikes! The house was perfect for our small family reunion in Japan. Chigasaki is a lovely town, off the international tourist map but with gorgeous coastline, surfing scene, Hawaii vibes!, views of Mount Fuji and fabulous restaurants and bars. Also very well connected by train and a great local bus which stops right outside the house. Day trips to Enoshima, Kamakura, Tokyo and Hakone. Also took a weekend to visit Kyoto by bullet train. All a perfect introduction for a first (or subsequent) visit to Japan.

The location is good, the station is 3 minutes walk away.Surrounded by many restaurants where you can have a late-night snack, there are pine houses and McDonald's that are open late.So go home at night not to worry about nothing to eat. The room is clean and bright and is a very classic traditional house.The host is very well maintained. Because near the track, you can hear the train, but this issue didn't bother me at all, even if I was a light sleeper and closed the windows, it was a little unbelievable. The host also communicated well. The only thing that was a little regrettable was that it was a little too early to check out at 10, which was too stressful for anyone wanting to sleep a little more in the morning. Other than that everything is perfect.

It was very clean and I had a good time. The service was polite, and although it was my first time using it, it was very easy to understand

It was better than I imagined!Not only did the children enjoy themselves, but the adults also enjoyed seeing the children in a way that they don't usually see in their daily lives.There is also a supermarket nearby, and if you are coming from a rural area, you can buy what you want to eat at the service area on the way and cook it in the kitchen, so you can enjoy one meal in a way that is very different from a typical trip.What you can see inside the Holy Planet is just like being in the universe, and I was able to experience an extraordinary feeling that I had never experienced before.

This was a great place for us to stay for almost 2 weeks! It’s conveniently located between Tokyo and Yokohama, plus Kawasaki is nice as well and offers a lot to see and do. We enjoyed our time there in a quiet residential neighborhood. It was peaceful and had everything we needed. Also, the host was very kind and helpful! We appreciated it!

I had a lovely stay at TongYong’s. Clean, peaceful, quiet. We stayed here to be close to some day trip spots like Kamakura and Fujisawa. It’s a nice central location for Hakone, Tokyo, and Nikko as well. The space has everything you need and is very clean. We loved all of the helpful instructions and snacks! A perfect spot for 1-2 people and about a 14 min walk from Tsurumi station!

Our family of four stayed here for eight nights. The host couple personally welcomed us, brought us gifts, and gave us a detailed introduction to the use of the appliances and facilities in the house and precautions. They also very thoughtfully prepared baby wipes, shower gel, toys and other baby supplies for the baby who was with us. The refrigerator in the kitchen on the second floor was filled with water, drinks, yogurt and other food for us to use for free.The house is very clean, the steps to the second and third floors, the kitchen, the rooms are clean and impeccable.The surrounding environment of the residence is very quiet, the living atmosphere is strong, and it is in stark contrast to the crowded downtown area of Tokyo. There are convenience stores, fast food restaurants, restaurants, large supermarkets and other catering facilities within walking distance.The living room, kitchen, and living room on the second floor provided a convenient living space for our family. In the morning, we would have breakfast together in the kitchen, and after eating, we would start the day's journey. In the evening, after returning to the residence, we would rest and chat in the living room.The host responded very quickly and always replied quickly to messages. More importantly, she helped us collect and dispose of kitchen and household waste during the trip in a timely and enthusiastic manner. Tourists who have been to Japan know how important this is!The stairs to the second and third floors are narrow and steep (it can't be helped, a common problem in Japanese detached buildings), which can be a bit difficult for elderly people who need to carry large luggage upstairs and have difficulty walking, but the stairs are equipped with handrails to ensure the safety of going up and down the steps.If you want to avoid the crowds of downtown Tokyo, this is a great choice for a family to live in.

We stayed here for 1 full month & 200% recommend the house and location! LOVED THE SPACE: home was spacious and SO comfortable for both kids and elderly. Host also provided games / toys (which my kids loved) and a baby chair and baby napping futon which was incredibly helpful! Rooms were also very spacious and the bath was SO comfortable with generous amenities provided. LOVED THE LOCATION: (1) close to station - only 5-7 min walk (2) delicious Izakayas were all walking distance and SO CLOSE / everywhere (3) convenient stores were also at every corner (7/11, Lawson, aeon - couple min walk) (4) Uniqlo / small mall with food spots/ don quijote was just two stations away at Keikyu-Tsurumi stop, and not crowded which made shopping amazing. MEGA Don quijote also walkable (25 min) and amazing! YATSUZUKASANS COMMUNICATION: Really appreciated the incredibly fast responses, hospitality, and flexibility. Host and location was above & beyond my expectations - highly recommend!

It was nice to stay in a large group

The room was exactly as described, the host super nice and flexible. The room is above a really nice bar, and surprisingly there is no noise at all! However, the room is pretty far from the center, around 45 mins from Shinjuku. So it depends on what you're looking for!

Very cozy and unique space. If you’re a fan of creative architecture and don’t mind staying a little way outside the city this is a gem.

There was a live performance at Yokohama Stadium, and I took the opportunity to attend!The location was very convenient and close to the nearest station, and getting around was very smooth.The room was also comfortable and well cleaned.The host was also polite and I was able to stay with peace of mind.I would definitely like to use it again when I come to Yokohama!

Clean, quiet, and very well appointed home. It was obvious the host took great care to try and think of every detail to make this a comfortable stay. He was exceptionally responsive and also helped me with some of my trip plans when I asked. It was greatly appreciated! It is not close to the center of the city, which wasn’t always convenient but I would not have wanted to stay in the heart of bustling Shibuya, so it really comes down to preference.

Michiyo's apartment is located in a very peaceful and quiet part of Yokohama. It was a great place to stay and there was a lot of stuff to do/to access from here. I did blindly follow Google Maps from Idogaya station and it lead me to heavy stairs through the park, to later discover a path with a tunnel (Oharazuido) that was a bit easier with heavier luggage. Put a waypoint in with Minamiota Nichome Friend Park to make the climb a bit easier.

Rua was very helpful and understanding when my check in was delayed due to airline delays. The place was easy to find and in a nice area

Perfect stay! Extremely close to Oedo line. Walkable distance to Shinjuku. Clean, spacious, safe. Jun was also very kind and responsive. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Host was very responsive, and listing matched descriptions and pictures in the listing. The unit is 3 min walk from train station, which is really convenient. Host explained how to use all appliances. Quick response from host whenever we ask any questions. Would highly recommend this place!!

We had a lovely stay at Shunki’s place! Everything was clean and spacious with easy check in and out instructions. The location was convenient to the train station and we had multiple convenient stores and shops for our every day needs. We were welcomed with a box of treats when we arrived and it was super sweet! Highly recommend :)

Apartment is better than the pictures. Location is great. Host is responsive. Coastal vibes. Me and my husband enjoyed our stay here. Would love be back!

Lovely little appartment in a calm neighboorhood. Kami-kitazawa station is at 2 minutes walk from the airbnb and it’s pretty easy to travel to more central areas from there (shibuya and shinjuku for example). Lots of restaurants nearby as well as supermarkets which spared us a lot of time when trying to find something. Only detail is the train that passes by is kind of loud but we slept well nonetheless. Would come back to this place.

Great location. Super clean and comfortable. Responsive host and easy check in/out. Sho even left two beers in the fridge for my travel mate and I! Being that it is Japan, the place is a bit small. Perfect for solo travelers or a group of two. This wasn’t a deal breaker for us but just consider before bringing more people or large amounts of luggage. This place is great! Thank you, Sho!

We really enjoyed Aileen’s place for the 6 nights we stayed and we really found the Nakano station very convenient being on the Chuo Rapid line we could get to Shinjuku in 5 minutes. And from there we had several connecting lines to travel anywhere within Tokyo. The space in the apartment was lavish compared to the cramped Tokyo hotel rooms and we could easily have all our luggage in the living room. The deck was an added bonus as it has some spectacular sunset views. Overall a wonderful place to be in a quiet area but close to the action.
