A detached guest house on our property, the retreat includes a full bathroom, one bedroom with a queen bed, a living room with sofa that can be folded down into a comfortable full-size bed, kitchenette with hot plate (no oven/stove), Keurig, teapot, microwave, and shared access to outdoor lounge and relaxing backyard with beautiful garden, fire pit table and hammock. Separate entrance around the back. Ideal for 2 for a short term stay, but can fit up to 3 if you don't mind sharing a small space.

We are also 15 minutes from downtown. This studio has all the amenities of home, yet the privacy of your own space and entrance. We can not wait to host your next getaway. Its location in the heart of downtown Sacramento provides wonderful walking access to the state Capitol, many restaurants, the R-Street corridor, Golden 1 arena, parks and much more. Street parking is usually easy. Free on weekends. I can give you a parking pass during the week. Garage space is sometimes available. Please ask.

A sofa bed and a queen air mattress are available too. There are several areas to relax on the patio and tropical gardens on two acres. The patio has extra seating and an outdoor BBQ/ dining area for guests. The pool is available with notification to the owners. Self-check-in available.

The Inkling - Studio guesthouse near Old Town

The Inkling is a separate apartment attached to a Victorian home built in 1890. It is in a quiet neighborhood near beautiful scenic canyons. Close to Old Town Auburn, you may enjoy restaurants, antique shops, family-friendly activities, the American river, and many, many trails. It is less than .5 miles from downtown as well. There is an enclosed grassy area for our human and canine guests. We live in the main house with our two small dogs, Alice and Charlie.
