Step inside a piece of history! The Wall Left Lodge, originally built in 1637 by the Muurlink family. In the 19th century, the family expanded with a house and that is now our welcoming B&B. Whether you are coming for a short hiking stopover or a longer stay, you are more than welcome. Weerribben-Wieden, Giethoorn, Blokzijl, the Amsterdam Lake District, and numerous hiking and biking routes (including pilgrim routes) are all within easy reach. Nearby are the Drentse Koloniën van Weldadigheid (Unesco World Heritage) with beautiful villages such as Frederiksoord (Museum De Proefkolonie). You can enjoy hiking, biking and swimming in the Aekingermeer.

In addition to the various walking routes and cycling routes, it is possible to travel by train from the nearby station in Wolvega. For water sports enthusiasts, Tjeukermeer can be reached in 15 minutes and Giethoorn in 20 minutes. Leeuwarden and Heerenveen are recommended in terms of culture and a visit to the Thialf Stadium.
