There was a reason that our Hvac system went out in our home and we decided to get away for the night. Fortunately for us, we were able to stumble across a magical gem called The Senator B&B right in our backyard. This property is absolutely stunning to say the least, and more importantly, Karl & Mark are World Class hosts and wonderful souls. Pictures can't do it justice, nor will they convey just how amazing your time here will be including enjoying Karl's deliciously prepared breakfast. We are forever grateful for Karl and Mark sharing their home and time with us and we look forward to staying again. We only have so many summers. Peggy and Mike were very friendly (and so was Rocky their cat). They were flexible with me arriving late after my conference and leaving early in the morning. I pretty much just needed a place to sleep since I had a full weekend planned and did not get to enjoy their pool or beautiful backyard. I will definitely be contacting them if I am back in the area and will plan on arriving early enough to have dinner or breakfast with them.

I gifted my husband a stay here as a Get-Away trip and he loved his time! The setting was perfect for his writing retreat and he enjoyed hearing the chipmunks and going on walks. Both Bobbi and Joseph were very accommodating and communicative and I’m so glad my husband brought me back some of Bobbi’s art! I’m hopeful I can join next time too!

We had 2 family groups. One of us stay downstairs in the aquarium room and the other stayed upstairs in Picasso room. Both were clean and comfy. The upstairs room needed the window A/C unit that was suppied, becuase otherwise it is a bit stuffy on a hot days. The downstairs room has central air already. The house is clean and smelled great. We will stay again
