Perfect place for a weekend trip to the Gorge. Beautiful surroundings and nice place. Cyndy was excellent with communications and was kind enough to let us check in a little early. Overall a great trip.

Incredible views and place to stay as you are passing through the Cascades. One of my favorite places I have ever stayed. Was worried about the gravel road since we did not have 4WD, but road was super easy and not hard to navigate at all (although we came in May). 10/10

What a STUNNING place to stay- the photos don’t do the view justice! Perfect spot for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Hans was very responsive and helpful and had thought of all the amenities that you’d need during your stay.

This place is a jewel, a gift and a miracle! Pristine, peaceful, clean, the house is delightfully decorated, very comfortable, and the gardens take you to a fantasy of relaxation. We had a family and friends reunion, celebrating a birthday and we couldn’t be in a better place for all of us, from the youngest to the oldest. The house is equipped with all the necessary utensils and tools for cooking, the walk in fridge is amazing for cooling large amounts of food, drinks, cakes for the celebration, flowers, etc. This is a rare find and we can’t wait for the next getaway there!

Spent my birthday here with 4 other friends. We had the most perfect stay. The place was very spacious, and the property was beautiful. The bottle of wine upon arrival was also a generous gesture! I would highly recommend staying here.

Without a doubt this was one of the best value to home vacations we've ever had. My boys loved the space, the pool table and most importantly the theater. They both complained when it was time to leave, with one uttering, "I wish we could live here."

The House of Hygge was just what we were looking for as a family with small children wanting to spend the weekend with two other families with littles in the beautiful setting that is Suncadia. Beautiful home with plenty of space for each family set up shop while boasting an incredible kitchen that opens into the dinning and living areas. It might also be one of the best stocked vacation homes we have ever stayed at when it comes to kitchen necessities and toys for the kids. 10/10 would recommend Paul and Merete’s home to anyone looking for a rejuvenating getaway regardless of the time of year. We will be saving this home for future vacations and would love to experience it in the summer.

Honestly, we had an AMAZING time and wish we could have stayed longer. Hani was fast to respond, friendly and accommodating. The rental was FANTASTIC. Close to everything but far enough to be private. The home was perfect for my party of 11. Plenty of comfortable places to sit and relax. Located right across the street from the pool it was perfect for the kids to keep them entertained until we made it to the beach area. Plenty of activities to do throughout the area. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We definitely plan on visiting again.

We had a lovely, peaceful stay at this cozy, dog-friendly retreat. The view of the river is absolutely stunning, the home itself is quiet and serene, and it truly felt like a place to slow down and unplug. The sauna was a wonderful bonus, and while we didn’t use the hot tub, it’s a great option for future visits. The host added some really thoughtful touches—Japanese candies, sake, tea, and cozy robes—that made us feel warmly welcomed. A couple of things to note: the outdoor shower wasn’t working during our stay, and the garden area feels like it's still in progress. Some of the pavers were missing, which made walking barefoot a little treacherous in spots. These weren’t deal-breakers by any means, but worth knowing if you’re looking for a fully polished space. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, cozy escape with gorgeous views.
