Magdalena welcomed us very kindly and lovingly took care of us. Although we did not book breakfast, she provided us with bread and other treats. The apartment matches the description, the location is beautiful. We will be happy to come back!

When we booked the place, we hadn’t heard about it Waterland a lot as a tourist place; however, the beauty of the place is mesmerising. The house is in a very beautiful and easy to get location. Whenever we needed any help, Irene was there. When we reached in the night at about 11 pm and were not able to close the windows, the family was there to help. The instructions were clear and check in was smooth. All the necessary amenities were provided by them. Waterland is about 15 minutes drive by bus to Amsterdam central. Anyone can spend a day enjoying Waterland, Volendam, Monnickendam, and Marken. This is a must stay place for anyone who wants to enjoy the real Dutch culture. I am not sure how many have watched Virgin River on Netflix, but staying in Broek gave me a feeling of the same. It was an amazing experience for all of us. Besides, Irene was kind enough to allow us to keep our luggage at her place after check out so that we were able to enjoy Volendam. Must stay place.

What a wonderful stay close to Amsterdam. We had wonderful days in Broek in Waterland! 1 comment, their daughter celebrated her 18th birthday, great that this was celebrated big and into the late hours. We were only informed of this during our stay. We are not late risers ourselves and the accommodation is so noisy that we could fall asleep when the party was over after midnight. We would have preferred to know this earlier so that we could take this into account in our choice of accommodation.
