Wonderful stay! Cabin was wonderful and hosts were even better!

This place has everything we wanted! Sauna, hot tub, great location, view, amenities and the cabin itself is amazing! We really had a great time and enjoyed the view. I wish we could have stayed a little longer and hope to come back again.

The cabin is nestled in green, one can hear birds chirp all day. The cabin was as it appears in the pictures, clean and all amenities available. We enjoyed the hot tub.

We were looking for a cabin, hoping to find a quiet place to rest, relax and recharge in nature. We never dreamed that we would find an authentic 18th century cabin located in the forest on a mountain top - with an excellent view of the surrounding mountains. The inside of the cabin was beautifully furnished as would be expected in colonial Virginia. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the experience of stepping back in time.

Joshua and Joan were great hosts. The cabin is located in a very quiet, peaceful, subdivision with a few other cabins around. It’s a great space and made for a very relaxing getaway!

We LOVED the lodge! Beautiful scenery and homey feeling. Everything worked great and overall we would absolutely come back again.

This is a truly special cabin. A perfect escape from everyday life. The setting is magical, with an open meadow bordered by a mountain stream. We spent our time lounging on the deck in the hot tub while snow fell around us. The night sky is so clear and I haven't seen so many stars in ages. The cabin itself is rustic, clean, and charming. Highly recommended!

We had a great time. The driveway was an adventure in itself, but getting in the door was easy, and the amazing view was portrayed very accurately in the photos. The house easily fit all four of us. The bedrooms were pristine, the shower was amazing and we loved cooking in that kitchen, apart from the lack of a toaster. On the deck, the hot tub was already hot when we got there, the fireplace worked as expected, but only one burners on the grill was working, (that didn't slow us down though!) Also the cell service was not the best in the house if you plan on relying on frequent texts and calls. The hosts were super proactive and responsive. I'll definitely remember this place and I may even plan on coming back.

The cabin is rustic. It's set on top of a hill in an opening in the woods on an active sheep farm. The views from the farm are stunning. It couldn't be any more private and any more beautiful. The front porch was ideal for enjoying a cup of morning tea. The bedroom comfortably fits two people. The loft is spacious and fits 1-2 people. Sarah was a very responsive, kind, and accommodating hostess. She welcomed us with some of her own farm fresh eggs, tasty homemade blueberry muffins, juice, creamer, and coffee. The cabin is located 10-12 minutes from downtown Lexington. The bathroom could be more private, but I would definitely rent the cabin again and Sarah was fantastic.

Our family of three had a wonderful stay at this charming cabin! It was the perfect mix of peaceful and fun—the setting by the river is incredibly relaxing, and our child absolutely loved watching the horses and exploring the open space. The cabin was spacious, very clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a fully stocked kitchen and cozy common areas. We spent our mornings sipping coffee on the porch, took easy day trips into Lexington, and enjoyed quiet evenings by the fireplace. If you’re looking for a family-friendly retreat surrounded by nature and animals, this place is a gem. We’d definitely come back!

The perfect getaway for us and our two pups. A great location to get away, disconnect, and relax. Peaceful, secluded, gorgeous surroundings. No noise except the nature all around you. The cabin itself has everything you need to feel right at home. As well-appointed inside as it is rustic on the outside. Comfy, cozy, and clean. Can't wait to come back!

Cheryl's mountain view cabin was perfect. Communication was quick and easy. Also, upon arrival the WiFi name and password were posted right next to the key lockbox, so if you forget to write down or screenshot the code, you can log on right there. If you happen to need internet for your trip, connection was always fast and easy. The cabin looked even better in person than in the pictures.Very open, very clean, very dog friendly and dog-theme decorated!! Enjoyed breakfast on the porch with the mountain view each morning. If you are a hiker, the AT trailhead is literally within walking distance from the cabin. Oh, btw, the driveway--it is steep. we had a non-AWD Nissan Rogue, it was a little sketchy the first run up, but we did fine the rest of the week. However, we had no rain, and I think it would have been worse with a wet driveway. Also close by is Crabtree Falls, its a must-see. Planet of vineyards around as well, and it is about a 1 hour drive to Charlottesville. Loved this cabin!!

A very nice place for a lower cost. It perfectly suits 2 people and I had no issues whatsoever. Would love to rent again!

The cabin was everything you could ever want. The most tranquil, relaxing, private, and beautiful spot I have ever stayed at. Nothing beats waking up in the morning to the sound of a rushing creek and birds chirping. On top of it all, you are only 20 or so minutes away from Harrisonburg where there are plenty of local shops and attractions to see. Sally and Jeff are the best hosts you could ask for. They are very kind, responsive, and just the nicest people you could meet. I could not recommend staying here enough, and I will definitely be returning.

The river house was really beautiful and so peaceful, the birds and the trickling water really refreshed me for a while after I left, and I am hoping to stay again at some point this summer. My house for a very patient with all my questions and very kind.

My family and I loved our stay at Sherilynn’s cabin! The cabin has everything you could want and then some! It had plenty of space and everyone appreciated not having to share bedrooms or fight over bathrooms. We really enjoyed eating on the screened in porch, playing in the creek (We watched a snake eat a fish one night) and both fire pits. The cabin is a perfect base camp for adventures in Shenandoah National Park too. Sherilynn was very responsive and answered all our questions. We would definitely stay there again!

If you are looking for a wonderful, quiet place directly on the river, this is it! This outdoor property is fabulous. Large screen porch and a deck that sets right on the river. The sound and view are great. Inside is comfortable and well set up. Rhonda is super nice. She will definitely make your stay perfect.

We loved being at the end of the road in this quaint cottage...it was absolutely quiet and private and the wildlife was abundant. Several deer came through the yard, some with fawns, some with antlers...we hear a bear came through just before we arrived! There were hummingbirds, fireflies and an active bird nest where we watched the mother/father tending the babies on the back porch! We never turned on the TV because we couldn't wait to see what might happen next. The Greenbrier Trail is .3 miles down a gravel road and there were swimming holes along the path as well as gorge/rock walls and gorgeous forest. We were 15 minutes from Lewisburg which is such a fascinating historical town...we loved Stardust and Corn+Flour for meals. Don't miss swimming at the Blue Bend and Bluestone Lake...also, Lucky Rivers in Hinton (best food!). Be sure to go to the Canyon Rim Visitors to see the magnificent New River Gorge. We can't wait to come back. Lorrie was a wonderful host.

This place was as advertised and a perfect peaceful getaway with cows within yards of the cabin. Wil was also a very gracious host and made our stay well worth it.

Such a beautiful location, building and great hosts! The cabin was wonderful with great cooking utensils, pans, coffee maker and all the items needed. George and Kathy are lovely people. You won’t go wrong booking this escape! Thank you so much!
