Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Walton-on-the-Naze

We enjoyed our overnight stay at the studio. The space was welcoming and clean. I would have preferred a larger bed but it was comfortable. Just a matter of taste. Breakfast was a nice touch.

Staying at Sally's place was just what my husband and I needed - peace and Nature from the doorstep. We both said that we hope to be able to return again.

Jasmine cottage was a most wonderful place to stay! Shelly's attention to detail was much appreciated and it's clear to see why she is a superhost! We spent a fabulous week in Suffolk, made all the better by our stay at Jasmine cottage. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the cottage at every opportunity! Thank you Shelly!

A wonderful house in beautiful surroundings. It also had that more difficult to attain "presence", with each room allowing you to relax and experience its homeliness and history. The whole family (6 adults and 2 grandchildren) thoroughly enjoyed our stay to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday. No-one really wanted to leave. Waking up to see the expanse of manicured gardens from bedroom windows and breakfast room was a calming relaxing pleasure. Plenty of walks available, and the walk to the local pub for an evening meal was safe and easy along quiet country roads. Would certainly recommend.

I had a lovely stay here with my son and dog. We came to clacton to visit family and it was ideally positioned for this. The local rugby field is just behind the house, which was ideal for walking the dog. Would definitely stay again.

Great location for attending a wedding at Villiers Barn. House is really well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Gemma was really responsive prior to our stay and provided lots of useful information re the local area, places to eat etc. The hot tub was a big hit with all of us, particularly our 5 year old grandson!

This was our second stay at this wonderful property. The location is amazing and the area is so peaceful. The garden is an absolute sun trap. The property was so clean, the beds are really comfortable, lots of little extras that make it a complete home from home. We are already discussing our next visit, this will be a regular rental for our family, we love it.

Absolutely perfect stay in a beautiful area. The house was spotless and even bigger than the photos show! It was perfect for 4 adults and my 16 month old daughter. Stuart sent great instructions through and loads of information about the local area, although we actually loved the house and grounds so much that we didn’t venture any further - we had a lovely few relaxing days in the house and walks around the woodland. My daughter even got to feed the goats. Will definitely come back, and will do a summer visit too as the pool looked beautiful.

Had a great stay. Location is ideal on the waterfront, close to restaurants. Hosts very good. Would go back.

For someone who had to go to university daily and also wanted a beer by the river with colleagues in the evening and go to London on weekend this place is perfect as it’s 20 mins to uni and 20mins to train station. The place has very rational space, good kitchen and spacious living room and bedroom, ready to be lived in for the two weeks I stayed! Definitely would stay again!

20 years ago we were married at Layer Marney Towers and returning to stay at Nicholas' Airbnb was an anniversary present to my husband. We had not visited since we were married so really appreciated being able to explore the grounds and gardens in peace to relive our memories and re-create some of our wedding pics. Nicholas very kindly opened up the room where we said our vows all those years ago. The space itself was charming and romantic and so so quiet (unless you count the chattering of jackdaws and bleatings of the sheep!) We slept well on the comfy 4-poster bed and enjoyed exploring some of the footpaths from the door to Aberton Reservoir and the Hare & Hounds at Birch. I really hope we do not leave it another 20 years before returning. This really is a very special place.

Jo was a superb host! Very helpful with recommendations and instructions to get into the place. She went above and beyond as well. When my friend left her rings behind, Jo helped us to look for it and arranged to have them returned to my friend. Her place also has a great location and is near to both the Colchester Town station as well good food options nearby. We really enjoyed our stay here and will hope to return next time!

Excellent stay at Judith's apartment. I've stayed on a number of occasions and the apartment is always presented in immaculate condition. Central location is very beneficial. Guaranteed I'll be returning.

Lovely flat. Spotlessly clean, walking distance to the town centre and has parking! Cindy left clear instructions for everything and even had folders of local things to do and takeaway menus. Would highly recommend.

A gem of an appartement in a great location despite the fact that the glorious past of the building is, well... in the past! The appartement is light and well appointed and has fascinating views of the industrial port and the town below.

Beautiful apartment with everything we needed for a family of 4. The location is great with easy access to local amenities. Highly recommend Brown Bread bakery for coffee and pastries, only a short walk away. Mark is a great host and gave clear instructions on where to park, how to check in etc. We will definitely recommend Marks apartment to others and we hope to stay again in the future.

Had a great stay at Katy’s space. Everything was clean, comfortable and matched the description and we enjoyed the goodies Katy stocked the kitchen with to get us going! Great location - very close to everything we needed. If I was ever in Walton or Essex again would be happy to stay again. Communicating with Katy was very easy and she was happy to help with any questions!

Micheal was really warm & welcoming host, with lots of humour & charm. He makes a mean cocktail in their cool little bar at the back of their lovely danish shop He gave us great recommendations for place to go and places to eat . The studio is above the shop and is very clean with everything you need , perfect for 2 people. When we return to Frinton we will definitely be trying to stay at the studio. Thank you’re hospitably

Joe was a great host, always kind, helpful, and attentive. The Mousehole is a lovely place to stay: very cozy, clean, and equipped with all the essentials. The house is beautifully decorated and very warm and welcoming. If you have any doubts, don’t hesitate to ask Joe, who is honest and very accommodating. Wivenhoe is a quiet and charming town, full of flowers and beautiful views of boats along the river. There are also a few nice pubs and restaurants just a short walk away. All in all, a great stay in a lovely place.

Great place in prime location on the seafront . Place was bigger than expected and had everything you could need and more for a week’s stay . Really clean and tidy . Plenty of treats left for us and the dogs . Overall really happy with apartment and location . Will definitely stay again .

The apartment is as described with convenient parking in a quiet location. Within walking distance to a local restaurant and Co-op plus fish and chip shop. Ideal for a short stay in Woodbridge and to visit the nearby attractions by car. We had a very enjoyable stay here having been greeted by the hosts on arrival.

Just about perfect for what we wanted - a night stay in the Wivenhoe area. The studio has everything you might need and the thoughtful supply of a breakfast cereal and milk was so helpful. Only saw Siri briefly, but enough to see she was friendly and would be there if we needed anything. The immediate area is nothing special, but it is quiet, the town is lovely and local attractions (we went to Beth Chatto's Garden and to Brightlngsea) are very accessible. The studio is easy to find with Siri's clear directions. Excellent all-round and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

It's a really beautiful flat. Everything is elegant and stylish as well as comfortable. Very clean and decorated to a very high standard. The only thing I missed was some hangers and a full size ironing board and iron - I wear dresses and like to be able to hang them up. A large chest of drawers is provided but not really suitable for dresses. Lovely little outdoor suntrap with table and chairs. Great shower too!
