Located in Totsugawa Village, Nara Prefecture, Wakayama and Mie prefectures are right next door, and it is close to tourist attractions such as the World Heritage Kumano Kodo, Rorikyo, Tamaki Shrine, and Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine, as well as hot springs such as Yuguchi Onsen, Kawa Onsen, Yuno Mine Onsen, and Totsugawa Onsen. The entire space, which includes a loft with a staircase dance and a renovated basement of an old potato field, is also used as a place for artists to stay and create, depending on the period. You can enjoy nature and art with ONKAI, an outdoor sculpture by a German artist, a 2-3 minute walk away. Breakfast, bento, and dinner are optional, and we offer vegetarian menus using vegetables from the Kumano area. ⚠︎ Because the river is close and the area is surrounded by nature, there are many insects in the warm season, and they may enter the room. Please make a reservation after understanding the characteristics of the place rich in nature. ⚠︎ We are renovating an old private house built over 100 years ago, and we are using the charm of the old wood as it is. Please be careful if you are allergic to dust, etc.

sunny house

The sunny house "Sunny House" can be used as a place to relax during your travels. Enjoy a BBQ on the 1st floor balcony with a stove, grill, burner, grill grate, tongs, and dishes. Cookware and tableware are fully equipped. (Please let us know in advance if you want to have a BBQ) The bath has a large bathtub that can accommodate 3-4 people at a time, and there is also a toilet (washlet) and washroom. Towels and bath towels are provided, but pajamas and toothbrushes are not provided. There is also a shower room on the 1st floor, so please use it. A fully automatic washing machine is available on the 1st floor, so please use it. See the list for other amenities. 1 minute walk from Shingu Station. 2 minutes from the bus stop. It is a Japanese-style house with a small Japanese courtyard. You can try on valuable samurai armor, helmets, and bridal gowns (kimono)for free. The house is reserved for a group of 3 or more people per day. Please relax as if you were at home. We usually accept up to 8 people, but we can accommodate up to 10 people on request. There is a convenience store in front of the house, which is very convenient.

創業は1957年、祖父「田内栄一」が和歌山県田辺市の文化発展のため「愛和荘」という旅館を営んでいました。その歴史と伝統を守り続けるため、孫である「喜重子」が2021年に屋号を復活しオープン致しました。 上野山城跡に建つ当宿は、床の間がある純日本家屋です。和室２室でゆっくりお過ごしください。田辺市街を一望できる高台に宿がございますので、朝は朝日を、夕方は夕焼けを、夜は夜景をお楽しみ頂けます。風が穏やかな日は桂離宮の月見台をイメージして作った檜のウッドデッキの上で、縁側の藤の椅子にかけてティータイムもオススメです。 この度新設したお風呂、トイレはバリアフリーで広さを取ってありますので、一緒に入浴したり、介助が必要な方でも楽にお使い頂けます。 和室の１室にpopin.aladdin(プロジェクタ付照明）を設置しました。襖に投影し テレビや音楽、映画などをご覧頂けます。朝お出かけの前にyoutubeでBGMなどをお楽しみください。 宿の隣に両親、田内喜三、淑子（日本人）が住んでおりますので、何かありましたらいつでもお声掛けください。

"Genki House", a house near Kumano Hongu-Taisha

It’s a house 8km from the Hongu Taisha. (about 15 minutes' drive) If you have a car it's more convenient, but if not I'll be happy to drive you to and from a bus stop or a tourism spot in Hongu area. My family run an organic farm, bakery, NPO offering long-stay for the youth, and an alternative school for children nearby. You'll have some loaves of bread from our bakery(^^)/ （If you don't eat bread please let me know beforehand)
