Such a magical spot right on the beach. A real kiwi bach vibe. Loved our stay in Pukehina. Vicki was a great host.

Myself, 5yo son, my parents and our three dogs had a great stay here. the view of the water is stunning! Easy to find, and convenient that the key pick up point is on your way to the accommodation too. Plenty of playgrounds dotted about, and so quiet. The beach house had everything we needed. Future visitors with pets just be aware that there is no fenced area to contain your dogs, so they can access the beach and road if unsupervised. Wouldn't stop us staying again though! The steps down to the beach are pretty steep but for older/broken amongst us is achievable, and there are alternative beach access walkways a few houses down if needed. We enjoyed a few kayak trips on the Estuary too. Only 25 mins to Papamoa if you want a dinner outing. Really nice touch with the coffee vouchers for the local Cafe, Montys, which was our go-to!

Was ideally located for us for a family event at Ohope Beach. Amazing Ohope beach is just across the road, and the Wharf and Store/Cafe are easily walkable. The house has a really relaxed beach vibe with a fantastic deck to enjoy. Place was clean and tidy - really clean and fresh linen and well stocked kitchen. Weather was sensational - after a couple of nights really felt like we’d had a holiday. Thanks…

Amazing property with beautiful views, peaceful neighbourhood away from the busy life. Carolyn is an amazing host — kind, friendly, very helpful with whatever you need and quick to respond, always checking in. I unfortunately had an incident during my stay and Carolyn was very understanding and helpful, I can't thank her enough for not only her hospitality, but just being an overall great person.

We stayed at a few different properties of bush to bay's over the 6 weeks we were working away and all properties were great for our team. Had everything they needed and great locations. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay here or any of their other properties.

We had the best time! Some much needed quality family time, Megan had thought of everything you may need during your stay! From the awesome games room, to the beautiful set up outdoor area! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! There is sooo much to keep the kids entertained and with the beach literally across the road, you have it all on the back step!!

Lovely welcoming bach close to the lake. The photos don't do the house justice. It was very comfortable and well-decorated, plenty of space for a family of four, and nice to have a fire for colder nights. Kitchen had everything needed, including a barista-level coffee maker and baking supplies. Lovely sheltered deck for sitting in the sun. Lake Rotomā main beach is a few minutes drive away, it is clear and clean, great for swimming even in April. Our dog enjoyed his stay. Good to have a fenced back yard/deck. The road that runs alongside the lake was busier than we were expecting with cars and lorries. This didn't bother us and we slept well. The village store and cafe a couple of minutes' drive. Nice walks either end of the lake and Waitangi Soda Springs is 5 minutes away by car - well worth a visit for a hot soak, friendly welcome, simple but great vibes. Lake access from across the road for paddleboards. It was perfect for what we were after, a lovely relaxed holiday.

Susan was a very friendly and accommodating host. It was a lovely spotlessly clean unit. Extremely comfortable - an awesome place to stay.

Perfection…in every way. Great communication and Paul was very responsive and accommodating. The place was a slice of heaven and we will definitely be using it every time we travel to Whakatane. Super close to town, with 180 degree ocean views and very respectful quiet neighbours. 10/10 for anyone looking for an amazing place to relax and unwind. Meg was the perfect host. We had a large family of three generations and Meg’s house was great! Very close to the beach. Fantastic coffee machine with raglan toast coffee beans! Induction oven. Lovely bathrooms. Very comfy beds. In a great spot, close to beach (pity about the weather!) - would definitely book again!

We had a wonderful stay. Great place with plenty of room for family. Loved the sheltered outdoor area for a bbq and hanging out in the shade. Thanks for the stay. Would come again.

had a wonderful stay. Spacious kitchen and living room. plenty of outdoor space too. perfect for our family get away with extra mattresses for additional sleeping needs with younger kids. very peaceful neighborhood with playground a short walk away. 👍🏻

My family and I had a great weekend away in this beautiful home! The house was bigger than we expected so we had heaps of space to hang out inside while the weather was crazy outside. The grounds and views are also amazing and you are just a short walk to the beach for a swim and then can run back to the spa. Chloe was super responsive and made sure we had everything we needed to have a great stay. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here. Thanks!

Excellent place, plenty of space for a family catch up, situated in the dunes on the beach, enjoyed sleeping to the sound of the waves, super clean / well appointed, really clear instructions about where everything is. The place has a range of little touches that make it excellent, like built in outdoor patio heating. Thanks Sue and Paul.

Liz and the whanau at sharks bay stay were so lovely, We arrived to a beautiful whare, clear easy instructions to get in & wow when you get inside. Absolutely stunning home and you can feel the warmth and love in the home. Liz was awesome, easy to contact and had everything we needed without me packing the kitchen sink, we made sure to utilise the beautiful backyard, spa and kids play area. The pushbikes and games and colouring ins kept everyone busy too. Beautiful area if you just want to relax and beach it with your whanau. This was a whanau trip for us so this whare was honestly perfect for us or your little family or big family. We look forward to our next trip down ! Cant thank Liz and whanau enough 🫶🏽 Great little week away from the North.
