Close by lies the vegetable garden, and friendly cows graze just over the fence. Further out over surrounding farmland you can see Tongariros snow capped mountains in the distance, so sit back and enjoy. Two Sliding doors open to a private deck (can be enclosed) with a kitchen (hotplate, pot, air fryer, frypan, coffee machine, tea, & milk in a small fridge), fireplace, private bathroom, and a stunning view from the outdoor bath and shower (hot water). The two bedroom cottage has a separate lounge area with a well stocked kitchenette, heat pump and large deck plus a private patio. Just down the hill is Whakaipo Bay recreational area with calm swimming waters and access to the W2K track. Our home is perfect for anyone who is looking for a rural outlook only minutes from town. It is the perfect place to sit back, relax and enjoy the view!

Our modern home is 15 minutes from Taupō yet feels like a private hideaway. Quiet and secluded, it looks out to Lake Taupō and Mount Ruapehu, with stunning sunsets. Ideal year-round, it has outdoor areas with BBQ, large windows and a double-sided fireplace. Whakaipo Bay is 5 minutes away for swimming or walking, with plenty of bush tracks nearby. Not suitable for children. Hairdryer, toiletries and iron not provided (sorry guests keep taking them and it’s to hard to constantly replace).

Wairere Cottage sits peacefully on our working sheep & beef farm. 5 mins to Ongarue village, 40 mins drive to TeKuiti, 20 mins to Taumarunui. Makes it an ideal base to go off mountain biking(Timber trail), walking, railcarts, jetboating, golfing all in Taumarunui. With Skiing at Mt Ruapehu. Stunning night sky ( Weather permitting)

The Tree House with hot tub @ Wood Pigeon Lodge

The Tree House is set on a small hill in the tree tops, requiring being able to climb multiple steps for access through the bush. At the top you receive stunning views of the surrounding forest. This eco house generates its own electricity and is designed to capture the sun. The two person wood fired hot tub is the perfect way to relax after a day skiing or climbing the Tongariro Crossing.
