De Oude Smederij

Enjoy and relax in the Frisian countryside? This is possible with us in De Oude Smederij, which was formerly a forge but has been completely renovated into a comfortable vacation home. The Oude Smederij is located in an agricultural area on the outskirts of the village of Arum (on the Elfsteden route) and is centrally located between Harlingen (on the Wadden Sea with ferry services to Vlieland and Terschelling), Franeker (Planetarium and Frisian Museum), Bolsward (Broerekerk) and Makkum, located on the IJsselmeer with boulevard and beach.

Rural location between the cities of Leeuwarden and Harlingen, you will find our cozy holiday home. The house has all the comforts. Enjoy peace and quiet, lambs and calves in the spring, whistling birds, and sweeping views of the Frisian landscape, even from the bathtub. The vacation park also offers various facilities, and there is a meadow with some forest and a small lake, which is also a habitat for deer. The area is known for its many tea gardens and the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea.

Lyts Kastieltsje, a quiet cottage in an orchard

Lyts Kastieltsje is one of our 2 properties. The other is the peaceful East Punsmiert chalet. Both are a short walk from the Waddenzee, a UNESCO World Heritage Site The cottage was once part of the cooling barn for the old fruit farm. It is surrounded by over a hectare of gardens, orchards and meadow which provide a home for our three sheep, bees, ducks and many species of birds. The orchards contain different varieties of fruit trees. Our prices include all Airbnb fees and local tourist tax.

The vacation home "Wad'n huisje" is located in front of a beautiful, typical Dutch stolp. The vacation home is located on the south side of the Oudebiltdijk. The Wadden Sea is almost around the corner (1 km). You have your own access to the vacation home and a sunny sitting area outside with lots of privacy and 2 relaxing chairs, parasol and BBQ.

The apartment is 60 m2 and has a private parking space, private entrance and private garden with veranda. The apartment is characterized by a cozy and luxurious look. A modern steel kitchen with beautiful SMEG appliances. In the kitchen is a beautiful wooden table that can also be extended, so you have all the space to work!

Also in the large garden (with private parking) it is wonderful to stay in good weather. Base for the Wadden Islands, Harlingen, Leeuwarden and the Frisian lakes.

Flower chalet

The Flower Chalet is located in one of the quietest spots of Recreatiepark De Friese Wadden with beautiful views over the countryside. There are several terraces with flowers around the cottage. Guests of the recreation park can use the swimming pool, the large playground or a tennis court. Includes towels, made beds, cleaning and taxes, so it's cheaper than elsewhere. The Wadden Sea is only 2 km away. I hope you feel completely at home!

Our beautiful comfortable Bakhuske is a small cozy apartment and equipped with all the comforts. You have access to a small terrace and you can also use the garden. Where you can enjoy the sun or, for example, make a fire. You can cycle and walk in the area. There are bicycle routes available. You can possibly rent a bike from Marcel Tichelaars rijwielen in Sexbierum.
