Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. Mullet's Speed Shop is conveniently located just 3 minutes from the famous Das Dutchman Essenhaus Restaurant and Bakery, less than 10 miles from the quaint shops of Shipshewana, and an easy 40 minute drive to Notre Dame (for the football fans). Take a bike ride or a peaceful walk on the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail less than 2 miles away. Nestled in the heart of Amish country, enjoy the buggies passing by!

Come for a relaxing getaway in the country. Cook in our small kitchenette or use our Blackstone or fire pit. Located in a small hobby farm setting with sheep roaming the pasture. We also have a couple cats that claim the pool area as their own. The long driveway and gravel road are perfect for a leisurely stroll to enjoy the great outdoors. Take a swim in the pool or a soak in the hot tub and let the worries of life melt away during your stay.

Copper Ridge Inn

Copper Ridge Inn is a private guest house on Carlson Farms, a 250-acre working farm. You will love the tranquility of the private lot that the house sits on with views of the farm across the street. The house includes four bedrooms, two baths, a full kitchen, and several living spaces, including a garage bar (not temperature controlled) (the only TV in the house is located in the garage). The private back yard porch is perfect for relaxing.

The main residence is approximately 400 feet from the cabin. The cabin is secluded and yet close to local attractions, restaurants, biking and nature trails. The Cabin has a total of 420 sq ft living space with 280 sq ft on the ground floor and a 140 sq ft bedroom loft.
