Penny’s place is truly a hidden gem—a peaceful escape from reality. My husband and I both work, go to school, and juggle raising kids, so we were long overdue for a quiet getaway to reconnect. Sanctuary in the Pines was exactly what we needed. It’s calm, quiet, and surrounded by nature—perfect for slowing down and just enjoying each other’s company. You really can't describe the experience fully in words... you just have to go and feel it for yourself. Penny is hands down the best host we’ve ever had. She’s incredibly sweet and thoughtful, and always responds quickly if you need anything. Her warmth made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. If you're looking for a place to relax, recharge, and reconnect, this is it. One tip: don’t make the same mistake we did by arriving late at night—come during the day so you can enjoy the gorgeous drive in and take in the views. We had such a lovely stay at the casita! Relaxing, comfortable, peaceful, plenty of outdoor seating, amazing sunsets, surrounded by trees and with even a short walking trail on the property. Not to mention plenty of wineries in the area. Marti and Jeff are wonderful hosts, and we felt at home from the start. Thank you for everything, we’d love to come back again!

Perfect place if you're looking to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet. Stunning views all over and a beautiful large deck to enjoy it all. Loved cozying up around the fire at night too.

This is such a wonderful location. The apartment felt private but not totally isolated. It was clean, well maintained, and had a well-stocked kitchen which made cooking that much easier for us. Absolutely lovely place, we had a great time.
