Cottage holiday rentals in Vila Nova de Gaia

This house is in the most STUNNING location with AMAZING views. We arrived early hours and Tiago was more than helpful at this time. We were told of the house’s rich religious history which is reflected in the artwork and decor of the house. 7 of us stayed for 8 days 2 couples and 3 teens More than enough space for everyone to have their own privacy and more than enough room for 10 people. The grounds had fig, Apple and lemon trees which we were told we are more than welcome to use. Aldi and Lidl were a 15 minute drive (we rented a car) which was perfect for evening barbecues (huge wood oven outside as well as small grills) The pool was stunning, we spent most days in there from morning till night. It’s a great size and easy to shade with umbrellas if needed. We left our inflatables there for the next person, which someone had also done before we arrived, which was a nice touch. We can’t thank Tiago enough for an amazing 8days. Will defo visit again

The accommodation is simply magnificent. It is in the middle of nature, very quiet and very close to nature. You can hear the birds, the water. It is simply a magical place and perfect to arrive at or to enjoy the peace. I loved meditating by the water or doing yoga. I would come back anytime. Thanks so much for the nice days.

Beautiful place, stunning views, very yummy breakfast every morning. Carlos is very friendly and helpful. the little cabins are comfortable and perfect for families.

Tiago did more than expected. From welcoming cake, unexpected wine tour and requests answered immediately. When we panicked about the fires, he calmed us. This Airbnb is a haven of tranquility. Fresh fruit from trees!!! Vale da Cambra unspeakable beauty and hospitality. Not a lot of English speaking, but at the end we got what we wanted.

Everything is perfect. The house is as in the photos, attentive to our arrival, delicious breakfast. An area worth checking out. 100% recommended

Spent 3 nights here and had a beautiful time. Hot tub was a nice touch for the cold winter days. Carlos was extremely sweet and hospitable. Gave us plenty of information about Sever de Vouga and showed us how to get around. Breakfast was served to us everyday at 9am which was a super nice touch. Great way to start the day. Definitely recommend. I'll be going back for sure!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Margaridi! Top accommodation, excellent host and staff. Recommended for people looking for a quiet, beautiful and luxurious place in Northern Portugal

Absolutely a perfect find. Peaceful. Well equipped kitchen, toiletries. Home made jam and honey. Aveiro a nice place to visit. Also the painted houses on the coast. Margarida is a superhost indeed.

Very nice house, very tasteful! We appreciate the kindness of the small details such as the cake on our arrival, the appetizers, teas, coffee... everything was perfect!

Maybe not for everyone but us we experienced the house and surroundings as a little paradise. The house has character and the whole lot around it is beautiful. It is quiet and has lots of space. The pool is real pool, and not an enlarged sort of bath tub. A beautiful view is included. The house is well equipped, everything worked well. The shoreline is a 40+ minute drive and worthwhile visiting. One can walk kilometers on the wooden board walk or bike along. Even to Porto along the shore which is really not far away. It passes Afurada………… you may want to plan a stop there for excellent sea food at a very reasonable price Hiking trails are in the area. Do some smart shopping for groceries and the like at a supermarket, we did not find anything close by. Maybe a minus for some, if you like to go out and enjoy night life nearby, that is a no-go.

The accommodation was as described in the photos and André welcomed us very courteously and extremely friendly. Fresh fruit and eggs were available in the kitchen. We also enjoyed the beautiful pool and relaxed on the loungers. André gave us good tips for restaurants in the area and was always very helpful. It is a very good starting point to explore the area. We felt very comfortable and would definitely choose this accommodation again. Thank you for the great hospitality.

The only adversity was related to check-in. Mr. Lobo, host, was not present. Tirando this contrariety everything was perfect. The house is in a private place which guarantees a calm and quiet atmosphere. It was clean and is well equipped. It's perfect for a family vacation.

We stayed at Andre’s place in May 2025, we absolutely loved the house it was lovely being private and in a good peaceful location, an extra that wasn’t on the advert is the fact the biggest bedroom has an en-suite perfect for families! Swimming pool was great but could’ve done with being slightly deeper in one end but it’s perfect for what you need especially with kids. The only thing I would say was a negative was the fact the house has no washing machine ( this is stated in the advert ) but even a tank to wash clothes would make families feel happier to wash there clothes while on holiday. Make sure you have a car when you rent this property as it’s well hidden from the rest of the world! Perfect stay here well recommended and can’t wait to stay here again!

This is a unique place. Nothing compares with it. A small village of picturesque buildings - nevertheless, you do not have to miss anything of modern convenience - with the most beautiful and stunning nature. Amazing and must visit.

Ana could not of been kinder! Ana checked in and made sure everything was ok and offered if I needed anything! Ana told me about the area and what was around, Ana is a true credit and absolutely fantastic! The stay was very enjoyable and I hope to come back to the house and area! We had an amazing stay here, a peaceful retreat from our jobs in the middle of the nature. Great amenities with the pool & pool table, table tennis and BBQ. Will definitely go here again one day

Very nice stay in the quiet location in vineyards. Although the weather was not perfect we spent there beautiful days - also thanks to table football which is outside but under the roof.

Sara’s place was fantastic for a week-long reunion with some friends. It had everything our group needed for the week, and we particularly enjoyed the private pool and sunset views from the deck. The location was great, being right on the river and a 5-10min drive from hiking trails, kayak rentals, great restaurants and local wine tastings. Sara was also very proactive, providing us with local recommendations and clear instructions on how to get there, and being quick to answer any questions we had during the stay. Couldn’t recommend Sara’s place more for anyone looking to spend a weekend or week in the area.

I loved this Airbnb. It honestly felt more like a home than most Airbnb’s and this is quite a compliment. I have stayed in so many of these that I have learned the difference. It was well appointed so you could easily have meals at home. There is a barbecue and numerous charming outside seating areas. The property is beautifully landscaped and private. Ligia had an app that answered every possible question we had about her place and the area from where to have dinner to what sites should we visit. It had grocery stores, hikes nearby, places to visit. I’ve honestly never seen anything like it. The property is quiet, the beds comfy and towels soft. It’s very well located for visits to Guimares and Peneda Gerês. The territorial views from the property were beautiful. Icing on the cake for us our the two dogs that visit.. They were the sweetest and enhanced our visit. One of the top places I have ever stayed.

Our stay was just amazing. The location was beautiful and a super quick train ride into central Porto. Felt like we were in a film set 🤩

We loved our stay at this beautiful home. The outside area was absolutely fabulous and the house was kitted with everything we needed to have a really fun and relaxing holiday. Raul was extremely welcoming providing our daughter with a crib last minute and gave us local recommendations that were great. We would absolutely love to return!
