we were very nice the whole family a functional cute house the house owners live on and if you need them don't hesitate to help.te had the detail of leaving in the fridge a bottle of water and wine. if we ever come back in the area from catalunya we will definitely go,a pleasure to enjoy their place both good you could have a house like this,thanks

Wonderful stay here for 5 days. Helena was quick and responsive throughout. When I arrived, I met Paula, Sofia, Martinho and Francisco who welcomed and showed me the house and area. So generous to offer me a bottle of wine, water, biscuits on my arrival. The house is cozy and peaceful with a view of the farm where the sheep roam during the day. Comfortable bed, linen and beautiful antique decor to keep with the theme. Kitchen has a small fridge, kettle, microwave and stove. Beautiful spaces to walk and rest under fruit trees, 2 swimming pools in a peaceful natural setting. Even my cat, Samson enjoyed it. For company, we also had a cute friendly dog, Nina. It is a short drive to centre of Fafe, a lovely town with charming architecture. Helena provided useful recommendations on what to do and where to go. Guimaraes is a beautiful place, only 20 minutes from the house. All in all, a great stay and I'm happy to revisit one day again. Thanks for a great stay!

We received a very warm welcome from Bartolo. Interesting, old apartment, part of a much larger farmhouse building. Antique furnishings and high ceilings give this Airbnb a very quaint feel, like going back in time. Plenty of blankets and hot water bottles for the unseasonable chilly nights on our arrival. We loved the ambience, the creative renovations which were being carried out whilst we were there, didn’t hinder our stay in any way. Beautiful views, animals in the grounds, wonderful kind people, made our trip very special. We took the train into glorious old Porto from Mindelo, leaving our hire car nearby. Do walk along the boardwalk in the nature reserve on the coast nearby. Characterful old villages and towns nearby for coffees and meals out. The Romantico drive along the Douro is a must, choose a dry day for the glorious views. We toured the old city and loved both sides of the river. Lots of musicians play there, it was a pleasure to lunch, listen and relax.

We stayed at Andre’s place in May 2025, we absolutely loved the house it was lovely being private and in a good peaceful location, an extra that wasn’t on the advert is the fact the biggest bedroom has an en-suite perfect for families! Swimming pool was great but could’ve done with being slightly deeper in one end but it’s perfect for what you need especially with kids. The only thing I would say was a negative was the fact the house has no washing machine ( this is stated in the advert ) but even a tank to wash clothes would make families feel happier to wash there clothes while on holiday. Make sure you have a car when you rent this property as it’s well hidden from the rest of the world! Perfect stay here well recommended and can’t wait to stay here again!

Host was excellent to communicate with . Views were spectacular and the garden and surroundings were very tranquil . An abundance of fruit to pick from the orchard and the Pool was clean and maintained. A great place which is so pet friendly. The only downside is the barking of dogs around the property which at night may disturb the light sleeper . Overall a superb place to stay .

Manuel is a great host, he is very responsive and is very attentive to his guests including the dogs. Manuel has good recommendations for the area. Manuel also speaks French. The accommodation is atypical, clean and air-conditioned. The property is private, there is an accessible swimming pool with lots of very pleasant and soothing outdoor spaces.

We had an amazing stay here, a peaceful retreat from our jobs in the middle of the nature. Great amenities with the pool & pool table, table tennis and BBQ. Will definitely go here again one day

Fantastic holiday home with a spectacular private garden. For us it was the perfect place to spend with our family. The hosts are super friendly and easy to communicate with. A big bonus is that there is a good restaurant 200m from the house. Good to know, the beds are not suitable for tall people. Another small remark is that all basics such as dishwasher tablets, matches, extra toilet paper and bin bags were not provided.

It was a great pleasure to spend the last week at Artur’s beautiful home. The house is architecturally designed, which a sophisticated blend of the original rustic stone walls combined with the best quality modern renovations. The setting very peaceful with a gorgeous pool with Baja shelf, a cooking area and loungers. All common areas of the house inside and out feature views of the mountains and surrounding villages. The home is well appointed. The kitchen has all the equipment needed for us to cook delicious Portuguese meals each night. The bedding is good quality and the home was well stocked. The furniture and sofa were good quality. Everything was spotlessly clean. We were hosted by Arthur, and Ana, who is a very friendly local lady that helped us check in. Both of them were proactive to ensure we were happy. My favorite part of the home is the hallway to the bedrooms, with la huge garden window and decorative lighting. Thank you to our hosts, we will be back!

My stay at Francisco and Clara’s beautiful home was truly memorable. The stunning views of the Douro River from the multiple terraces, combined with the peaceful surroundings, made it a perfect getaway. The house is well-equipped, with spacious rooms and a fantastic pool area that we enjoyed throughout our stay. Francisco and Clara were incredibly welcoming, even providing a thoughtful welcome basket and daily fresh bread delivery. Their hospitality and the charm of the house made us feel right at home. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Douro region!

We loved our stay at this beautiful home. The outside area was absolutely fabulous and the house was kitted with everything we needed to have a really fun and relaxing holiday. Raul was extremely welcoming providing our daughter with a crib last minute and gave us local recommendations that were great. We would absolutely love to return!
