Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Vijfheerenlanden

We had a great stay in the very nice cottage. There is a very spacious living room with a good kitchen, two bedrooms and another sleeping arrangement in the living room... The house is also good for small children, there is a staircase but it only leads to storage space so you do not need stair safety. There are also a few toys, which we were very happy about. The garden and the surroundings are particularly beautiful, you can take great hikes through the forest directly from the house. The only drawback (the landlords also write it in the information brochure that is in the house) is that there are an insane number of ticks in the garden, we were only an hour in the grass and had to remove two ticks from us - but of course no one can do anything about that.

We had a wonderful stay at Bart and Carole's guest house. They were very warm and welcoming and really happy we were there. They were very reachable if had questions or issues. They even arranged a full cleaning half way through our stay for a fee for the cleaner. The unit was perfect for us, a party of two, for three weeks, a home away from home. It was walkable to shopping, dining, and the grocery store, great location. When we come back to the Netherlands we will be checking on the availability of this wonderful home.

We stayed in Jorrit's house for the 3rd time and felt very comfortable again. The weather was dreamy. The screens on the terrace door and windows were very pleasant, because there were already many mosquitoes on the road. A walk to downtown Gouda is recommended. It almost always goes along the water. I think we will go to Jorrit's house more times!

Great house. We felt very comfortable all around. Nice, uncomplicated landlady. House very clean and spacious. Everything as described with large, open living / dining area and upstairs the 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms (1 en suite). We didn't miss anything and we would love to come back.

We were 6 people staying two nights in this fantastically beautiful accommodation. The space is completely sufficient, with a large living area and 2 extra separate sleeping berths with double beds. The house is very special and an absolute highlight. In addition, the landlords are extremely helpful and nice. Thank you for the wonderful time we were able to spend with you :) we will definitely come back again

Our host was incredibly nice and reactive. We definitely recommend her and her amazing house on the lac. The views and nature are stunning. We had so many beautiful activities (boat with a licence, free kayac, Gouda visits and museum, walks and bykes, restaurants). Clearly I have fallen in love with the region

Jan and Marissa were very welcoming and provided very detailed instructions prior to our arrival. A lovely comfortable house, very relaxing with plenty of space and comfortable furniture. It was light, and beautifully clean with a lovely shady garden. A quiet and safe neighbourhood- very pleasant to come back to at the end of a busy day. It is a 10 mins walk to the nearest bus stop which goes direct to the train station/town centre. The buses are really frequent. There is also a bus which takes you directly to the lovely town of Amersfoort. We also loved visiting Castle De Haar- a fairy tale castle, fully furnished with luxurious fittings and interesting owners. There is a well stocked local supermarket- about 15min walk and a fantastic delicatessen “ Olijfje” with fresh fruit and veg, hummus, olives, dips, freshly prepared each day. The owner is generous and friendly and gave us some free samples including delicious handmade chocolate,pistachio slagroom truffles.

We loved the house and gardens. It was a real pleasure to stay in such a lovely home. Everything we needed was there, and the area was beautiful. Hermanus was the perfect host - encouraging and helpful, but allowing us our own space. We particularly enjoyed the welcome bottle of red, and the fresh eggs Hermanus brought for us on several occasions. It's hard to imagine how our holiday in Oudewater could have been improved - one of the very best accommodations we've had.

The stay with Marjolein and Michiel was extraordinarily beautiful and cozy. Quietly located, beautiful ambience with private pond terrace and garden. Ideal for cycling tours to the World Heritage Site of the mills in Kinderdijk, Rotterdam, and Dordrecht. The water bus is also highly recommended! Since my husband turned 60, Michiel had thoughtfully put a nice bottle of Prosecco in the fridge for us in advance. Breakfast was very tasty and extensive. The beds are very comfortable. Overall, the room could be darkened well for sleeping. The car could be parked very safely in the yard. Thank you very much again for the wonderful stay!! Dr. Gerlinde and Heinz Schulte-Brochterbeck

It’s very good and charming place to stay

We spent nine days in this fantastic bed and breakfast. We were particularly fascinated by the garden, what grows there and how lovingly everything was combined, just great. Sitting by the fireplace in the evening, enjoying a glass of wine and having good and fun conversations with Maria and Pieter Jan, a treat. Both are very attentive and kind, give good tips and Maria's breakfast in the morning was always a highlight. The apartment is cozily and tastefully furnished. We felt like at home here. Amazing location. Close walk to everything. Very narrow steep stairs but that was expected. Great for a couple or single wanting a central location in Amsterdam. Good communication and they accommodated our early arrival. Washer was a nice feature for this traveling for a few weeks in Europe.

Beautiful house! Very welcoming welcome, had a great weekend with 12 friends.

The property is located 20 mins from Schiphol Airport, in a quiet gated community. The house was neat and clean and located beside a water canal. The kitchen and cutlery were well stocked. The furniture was comfortable. Plenty of towels provided. Easy to get to the city and to the other attractions. As stated in the description there is no washer / dryer. Bedrooms are located on the floor above the ground floor, the stairs are a bit steep. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very responsive, friendly and courteous. Upon request we were given a late checkout which was very helpful and very kind of the host. Indeed a superhost! Would love to come back someday!

We had a nice stay and Anneke or her daughter were always available for questions during the stay. The house is very nicely decorated, everything was clean, good amenities and the pool and jacuzzi were great. I am more than happy to recommend the place.

After cycling round the countryside each day with friends, coming back to "Amazinghouse" was an extra treat to look forward to. Plenty of space Inside and out for everybody to chill. Kitchen & dining room very well laid out, so all involved at dinner. Great outside space and garden with good BBQ. Had a wonderful stay & Murielle went above & beyond.

The location of the holiday home is very idyllic, no car traffic (a small handcart for luggage transport is available and is also useful), direct access to the water incl. Jetty and SUP and occasional flight noise during the day from the nearby Schiphol airport is not too much of a problem. Nevertheless, the condition of the kitchen requires a small upgrade (baseboards, etc.) and the windows could be cleaned extensively. Jan responded quickly to queries.
