Nostalgia

A charming house from the 1800s with a great atmosphere. The property is beautifully located by the lake overlooking Ålesund and Sunnmørsalpene. Only 15 min by car from Ålesund city and the nearest airport, but is still a place that gives peace of mind. Outside the garden there is cultivated land with grazing animals in late summer. The island of Giske itself is a gem with a marble church from the Middle Ages, beaches, untouched nature and bird life. The island was once home to Norway's most powerful noble family, the Arnungs, and is mentioned in the Snorre saga.

Enjoy the wonderful view from this idyllic storehouse located on Valderøya outside Ålesund. The storage room is over a century old, but has been renovated. NOTE: The storage room has electricity, but not running water or a toilet. Guests can use shower and toilet in the main house which is 30 m away. The bathroom in the main house is only used by you guests and access to the rest of the main house is closed off. There is 5 gallons of water available in the fridge. My place is good for couples, lone travelers, and business travelers. Can also be suitable for a small family. (Extra mattresses). Newly renovated farmhouse from 1894 which has retained its unique charm and old style :) The house is located on Ulla, Haramsøy (Haram municipality), with the sea as its nearest neighbour. It is a short distance to fishing opportunities and a bathing area, and the hiking trails are right outside the kitchen door. There will also be a boat available for free use during the stay at your own risk.

Surrounded by the Sunnmørsalpene, between Ørsta and Ålesund lies this unique waterfront house. A perfect starting point for mountain hiking and other attractions in Sunnmøre. Within an hour or two you can reach famous places such as Geiranger, Åndalsnes, Loen and the amazing bird island Runde. The Atlantic Park in Ålesund is also worth a visit. In Ørsta, 20 min. away, there are plenty of shops and restaurants.

We live on a fantastic island,in a big house and we give for a rent 3 rooms with a separate entrance. Our house is in 10 min distance from the airport with car . In 15 min there is an amazing beach where you can go for a walk, there is also a supermarket in 10 min walking. If you will choose public transport, there is a bus stop in front of our house.
