A house in the fields

The house is situated alone in a sea of fields, surrounded by the wind in a fantastic perennial garden. With the help of many artist colleagues and friends, this formerly unspectacular guesthouse from the 1990s was converted and renovated into a small oasis and a garden was created with the help of landscape designer Rainer Elstermann. The ideal place for your time out is in a small village on one of the largest nature reserves in Germany. Three sides with unobstructed views and a large orchard let you forget the stress of everyday life. It is not uncommon to watch deer or cranes in their activities. By exposing the original half-timbered beams inside, a spacious, airy living room with a gallery has been created. The robustly built chimney stands like a monolith in the room. Classic furniture from the early 70s is moved onto light wooden floorboards, the designer kitchen with a free cooking block and the crackling fireplace complete the feel-good atmosphere.
