Take a boat, or walk to Torno to find a bar, cafe, shop, and restaurants. Como is a short drive, and public transport is close by. L' appartamento dista km 5 da Como, km 2 da Torno, km 40 da Milano, km 38 da Lugano. E' raggiungibile con i mezzi di trasporto pubblico : gli autobus C30 C31 C32 con partenza ogni ora circa dalla stazione ferroviaria Como San Giovanni , Como Lago Ferrovie Nord o da Piazza Matteotti in direzione Como- Bellagio, impiegano circa 8 min per raggiungere la fermata Blevio - Decorazioni Savio, distante 100 m circa dall' abitazione. Alternativa piacevole al trasporto pubblico tradizionale può essere l'uso dei battelli della navigazione del Lago di Como, con partenza da Piazza Cavour in direzione Torno, da dove camminando per circa 15 min raggiungerete la destinazione. It can be reached by public transport: buses C30 C31 C32 departing approximately every hour from the Como San Giovanni railway station, Como Lago Ferrovie Nord or from Piazza Matteotti towards Como-Bellagio, take about 8 minutes to reach the Blevio stop - Decorations Savio, about 100 m away from the house. A pleasant alternative to traditional public transport may be the use of Lake Como navigation boats, departing from Piazza Cavour in the direction of Torno, from where walking for about 15 minutes you will reach the destination. I ALLOW ME TO STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE SMALLEST AND CHEAPEST CAR, TO MOVE INDEPENDENTLY, AS IN OUR AREA PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND TAXIS ARE NOT COFORTABLE Villa Pasta The villa was built in the early XIX cen- tury and was bought in 1830 by the famous opera singer Giuditta Pasta hosting space for its several guests. In the park the fol lowing built: the studio painting of Clelia, Giuditta's daughter, who attended the Brera Academy in Milan; the cafe-house, a small cave to cool in the summer; the wooden theater where Giuditta practised singing. Captain Wilhelm Locke, grandson of the famous philosopher, drowned in front of his wife and other guests in the lake area in front of the villa. Later his daughter erected a gravestone in his memory. In the small ceme- tery of Blevio it is possible to visit the grave of Giuditta Pasta who died in 1865.

A great host, a beautiful rustico in a wonderful location. We were passing through with two children, we all would have liked to stay longer. Florent responded quickly to all requests, e.g. for a possibly earlier check-in. The furnishings are generous and the decor is cosy. In addition, it is very quiet and you can relax superbly. We will be happy to come back!

Amazing stay at Cinzia’s home. I wish I never had to leave. Her and her family were so helpful and kind. For us, the location was perfect - close to everything and just a short walk into town, but still felt secluded and private, surrounded by gorgeous scenery and nature all around. Cinzia was responsive to any of our questions and helped coordinate a massage for us by the water, and a multi-course dinner service at the home - everything was exceptional.

The place really is a small paradise and it provides everything you need. The host is very friendly and always helpful. We enjoyed our stay there to its fullest and can only recommend it. The view on the lake is breathtaking and the garden underlines a feeling of harmony as well as mystical atmosphere. The restaurant nearby is also quite recommendable. We spent the Easter weekend at one of the apartments at Gritti Palace. The location is perfect and in the town’s center. We really enjoyed Alix’s hospitality and are grabbing for all the services and assistance that she provided, including giving us another room where there is no stairs since I’m pregnant, finding us more varieties of tea and fixing the toilet seat promptly. The communication was very easy and fast. We would recommend this place to anyone!
