Lovely village house, East Pyrenees

This quaint village house is located high up in the pretty hillside village of Rodes. Rodes rests in the Languedoc Roussillon/Pyrenees-Orientales region of France where Mount Canigou dominates the skyline. A 30 minute drive takes you to Perpignan and the stunning Mediterranean coast. The house has breath taking views of Mount Canigou from the rooftop terrace and can comfortably sleep up to 4 persons. It has a private garage, free WIFI and two bikes available for guests to use. On the ground floor is the walk through garage and a utility area with a washing machine. The two bedrooms are on the first floor. The 2nd floor offers open plan living with a fully equipped kitchen and an area for relaxing and eating. From here you access the sunny outdoor terrace and the mezzanine bathroom. The house and the area are perfect for a relaxing get away from it all holiday. Nearby is a village shop and easy access to the main road between Perpignan and Andorra. The village of Vinca is within walking distance and you can swim, relax and sunbathe on the shores of the crystal clear lake. Maison Mimosa is located in an exceptionally picturesque area ideal for walking and mountain biking as well as a visit to the world reknowned hot springs at Thomas Les Bains. During the winter season, the nearest slopes are just a 45 minute drive away. The 50 euros rate per night is negotiable dependent on number of guests, number if nights booked and the season. Enjoying superb views, you will be just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Vernet les Bains with its square lined with cafés, bars and restaurants. Three times a week, a market selling local produce is held on the square. Buy fresh bread, soak up the atmosphere or walk 5 minutes further for fun in the outdoor pool complex with slides. Return to base and enjoy the calm of your private garden or sip on a drink on the balcony. If you need to work, the office provides a quiet retreat.

Beautiful, couple's getaway with amazing views.

Our sympathetically converted barn is home to this lovely one-bedroom gîte. The original fabric of the building: big beams, old stonework, is very much on show, plus there's so much to see out of the window! You have a balcony view of Mt Canigou, as well as a lovely dining area for relaxed breakfasts and sundowner cocktails. Our little village is quiet and peaceful, yet only 15 minutes from the town of Prades, with its shops and famous market. And all around, we have the incredible Pyrenees

Apartment with a garden

The accommodation is located between the sea and the mountain, at the foot of the Canigou, at the start of many hikes. The accommodation is on the ground floor of our house. 5 min walk from the city center and 10 min from the thermal baths. Guests can enjoy breakfast on the shaded terrace or a siesta overlooking the garden. Your host is also a wood turner, if you wish you can discover his workshop and why not let yourself be tempted by a day discovering this passion job.
