The smile of the lake

Castelveccana is an excellent tourist destination thanks to its hamlet of Calde', known as the "Portofino of Lake Maggiore". We have a two-storey apartment with a double bedroom, bathroom and relaxation area on the ground floor. Upstairs, open space with kitchen, dining table, and double sofa bed. Comfortable for 4 people, with air conditioning, mosquito nets and Wi-Fi in all rooms. The house also has a terrace overlooking the lake of about 10 square metres, ideal for outdoor breakfasts and relaxing moments.

Picturesque, Historic Villa with Island Views

Gaze over stunning 180-degree views of islands on Lago Maggiore from the expansive, floor-to-ceiling windows of this lovely, 230-year-old rustic stone villa. Antique furnishings perfectly complement the historic architecture. The house is on 3 floors so a fair bit of walking up and down stairs is required. The main bedroom is on the upper floor and the 2nd bedroom (two single beds) and bathroom on the lowest floor. Ideal for couples and families but not for the elderly or groups of 4 adults.

The Suite is located on the third floor of the new Delfino, once guesthouse of Borromeo Palace and later a hotel for travellers. For example, the French writer Stendhal stayed there and included Albergo Ristorante Delfino in the "Guide for the use of those travelling in Italy" of 1828. Antonio Fogazzaro instead set the famous novel "Little Ancient World". With private and independent access next to the Serra of the ancient village of the Island. The property has been recently renewed with a special attention to every single detail (I am super passionate of design!) and is the perfect location for a romantic and relaxing gateway.

It is located in the picturesque village of Vararo, a hamlet of Cittiglio at an altitude of 725 metres. This solution is suitable for all people looking for peace and quiet, away from the city routine. You will find routes suitable for all hiking skill levels. (There is no Wi-Fi by choice, and there is very little signal inside the house.)
