All-in-all this place was well worth the price point. Not only were we within walking distance of the Watuga River, but we could see it from our deck. The location was within striking distance of downtown Boone, Grandfather Mountain and Linville Gorge. The hosts were very responsive and share recommendations when we asked about hiking trails and fishing spots. Apparel even made a special trip to make sure the hottub was working correctly (we had a bad experience with one causing rashes, so we were a bit sensitive). If you are looking for a cozy place to enjoy quality time with your family this is a great place! The space forces you to be present with whomever you are staying with which was what we wanted!

What a hidden gem! We were seeking a peaceful, private getaway, and we found it here! Cheryl truly thought of everything to make our arrival unforgettable. We arrived to a stunning winter wonderland and stepped into a cozy, heated camper, complete with a fireplace on the TV—instantly making us feel at home. Everything we could possibly need was provided, thanks to Cheryl’s thoughtful attention to detail. While many local attractions were closed due to the weather, we were more than content to enjoy the serenity and breathtaking views this location offered. We always felt welcome, with Cheryl being responsive without ever being intrusive. We can’t wait to return and visit again!

We loved the peaceful, rural setting. The Bluebird's Barn was comfortable, cozy, and rustically decorated with Claudia’s fun antiques , quilts, artwork , and many personal touches. The furnishings were of high quality and obviously picked to reflect the “Bluebird” theme and her design skills. The courtyard included a beautiful crabapple tree that not only provided privacy but also beautiful Fall foliage, yummy crabapples for jam, and fun nightly wildlife visits. We loved sitting on the front porch and on the patio, under the trees sipping wine, painting and journaling.The quiet setting certainly provided the vacation we needed. Our time at the Bluebird cabin was one we will forever remember and hope to repeat annually. Getting to know Claudia and experiencing her warmth and kindness was an absolute bonus! Needless to say, we highly recommend the Bluebird’s Barn for your stay!!!

This place was so clean and decorated so unique! My son loved that he could ride his skateboard and scooter. We will definitely stay again when visiting the area.
