Monthly Rentals in Upper Cloosh

What a great time we had. I was with a group of 4 long time friends from the United States. I was the only one that had been to Ireland previously and the house was perfect for us. We had enough space that we were not on top of each other. We could walk (although a little further than we preferred) to the downtown area. Kathleen provided recommendations before we arrived. The quaint town had everything we needed with pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops. We golfed the local course too. The house was exactly as described. The only issue i had and is the same with so many places in Ireland is that parking was tight and the driveway is tough to get in and out of with traffic but we made it work. Thank you so much for offering your place to help make our trip so great and created lifetime memories.

We carefully read and followed the advice of the previous guests and that‘s why we didn‘t stay for just one or two day‘s but five! We truly felt welcome and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet here. And yes - every day we had the loveley company of the sweet four-legged friend :) A wonderful stay in an incredibly beautiful landscape! We had a wonderful stay here. The host was very responsive and provided local recommendations. The location is a 5 minute drive from Oughterard village which has local amenities and shops. The chalet is 30 minutes drive either way to Galway and Connemara National Park and lots to explore. The hosts have really thought about everything you need for self-catering with electric oven, microwave and kitchen amenities. The lounge is very cosy and has a log or gas burner to keep you warm (as it can get cold). We enjoyed watching DVD’s on the TV for some nostalgia in the evening. The bedrooms and bathroom upstairs are in eves, so restricted height in places, but we didn’t have any issues with this. There is also a lovely outdoor garden space with seating. The pictures don’t really do this place justice, and such incredible value. Spotlessly clean too! Would recommend staying here for a peaceful stay.

Such a shame we didn’t have longer in Anne’s lovely place , would have loved to have had breakfast on the balcony of the main bedroom . Great showers and space . Lent us travel cot AND bedding . Wish could have stayed longer to enjoy the lovely garden and the games provided . We were lucky to meet Anne , who’s lovely :) Would not hesitate in highly recommending to other guests .
