Im Winter befindet sich die Skibushaltestelle nur wenige Meter entfernt und in kürzester Zeit sind Sie im Skikarussel. Kinder können frei herumtollen, da keine Straße am Haus vorbeiführt, im Gegenteil direkt vor der Haustür beginnt ein Wanderweg, die sog. "Via Crucis".

Der Pilathof liegt abgelegen und mitten in der Natur und ist nur mit einem Geländewagen (ca. 8 Minuten Fahrt von St.Ulrich) oder in 40 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen.
