Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Tysnes Municipality

There were two of us for about 1 week in the lovingly renovated Skolehus of Mette and Jan. Like the other vacationers, we find the location directly on the Sund with the fascinating view unique! Special thanks also to Mette for the tips to explore the area and the kindness. The house is extremely clean and really nicely decorated. The outdoor facilities (2 wooden terraces: one directly by the house and also one downstairs directly by the water) are very nice. We will keep the Skolehus in our hearts!

We were 2 couples with two children and an aunt & uncle. The place was perfect for us. When the weather was nice, we could barbecue outside, make campfires and eat self-caught fish. The rented boat sleeps 4 people and was excellent for fishing and excursions. We took public transport to Bergen twice. Here, too, the connection was absolutely sufficient, provided you timed the ferry rides. Overall, we had a very relaxing and pleasant stay. The house is very lovingly decorated and leaves nothing to be desired in terms of space. Also a big thank you to Arne for the great support even before arrival and the detailed introduction to the house. We were very pleased to be able to enjoy your apartment for our family vacation. Very cozy place to stay.

Top accommodation with 100% referral A very nice house in an early location. Very good for relaxing and for activities. We were 2 adults and 3 children. Space is abundant and the house is very tastefully furnished. Fabulous view. Boat for fishing with its own jetty. One of the best houses we have had so far. Jorunn is a very nice and helpful person. Thank you from the whole family.

The apartment is as it appears in the photos; light and airy even if it is located on the basement floor. Overall good standard, clean, proper and pleasant, and with all amenities as described. Good beds, clean bed linen and quiet bedroom with good ventilation. Spacious parking space with the possibility of "grandma charging" of an electric car (per regular outlet). Cozy host, and perfect location for the three of us who were at the chamber music festival and were able to enjoy short walks in beautiful surroundings to the barony and other scenes. Recommended!

We had a great time in Bjorn's apartment. The view is beautiful, we completely relaxed.

Marita and Tomas are very nice, warm people. Marita greeted us upon arrival and showed us around and explained things (e.g., how to access the kayaks) in a very clear and unhurried way. They both did a fantastic job communicating with us before our arrival, and provided lots of helpful advice while there (e.g., recommendation of a wonderful restaurant in Bergen). Although Tomas and Marita live on the floor above the Airbnb flat, we never felt “crowded” by them. In fact, at my request, Tomas was able to respond immediately to come down to help us figure out the TV…and he was incredibly good natured about it. Location was terrific, too: close to Bergen and all it offers, including the focal museums, as well as minutes from an excellent University of Bergen arboretum & botanical garden. Highly recommend this place, as well as Tomas & Marita as people!

Atle is a superb host with a lovely apartment overlooking the town of Leirvik. Whilst the apartment private and quiet it is close to local amenities. Clean apartment, easy to get in. I look forward to stay again.

Spacious accommodation, very bready for 6 people. The house owner is very friendly and always responded quickly. By car, the center of Bergen is 10-15 minutes away. We were in Bergen for 2 days, we had a great time and the time was good for sightseeing.

Trude was the best host you could ask for. Had some lovely conversations and felt part of the local community because of her. The place is gorgeous and will leave you feeling recharged and relaxed. We were very sad to leave, and I am certain one day in the future we will be back. Thanks again Trude!

A very cozy place! The living room and kitchen had awesome views to see with a meal. The bathroom was very clean, the floor warm and the towels smelled great. The beds were veery soft (I guess it’s the same all over Norway), but we had a good rest.

Great apartment with two bedrooms, large bathroom as well as a small toilet room. Very nice decor! We got a simple bed as well, to avoid two in a bedroom with a double bed (work trip, 3 men) Very fine with parking right on the outside (but not available during the day) Worked fine for us this!

The location and views were fantastic. The apartment was very clean and conveniently furnished. Small tip: a small kitchen equipment: tea, coffee, spices and a small attention make AirBNB travelers happy 🙂 The living room could not be used because there was no heating. We made it cozy in the kitchen. Nevertheless, the apartment is highly recommended. Thanks Emanuel 😌
