Small Paradise above the Walensee

A beautiful old countryside home, lovely furnished in a paradise-like setting. The house is perfect for people who are looking to get a break from the big, loud world or would like to discover the beautiful Swiss mountains by foot. If you are coming by public transport you will need to hike one hour on a very beautiful hiking path (Weesen - Quinten). If you decide to come by car you will only need to hike 15min from the parking lot to the house. We highly recommend to wear good hiking shoes.

We rent a very nice, newly furnished and cozy 30 m² apartment with separate bedroom. In the open living room with kitchen and dining area, there is a large sofa bed. The apartment has a separate apartment entrance and is on the first floor (no steps). The free parking is right next to the apartment. The apartment is located in the middle of the village and is easy to find. Just three minutes to the bus stop, 40 minutes to Zurich. We, the host family, live on the upper floor.

A special place for holidays or weekends. A newly renovated apartment 35 square meters directly above the regionally and nationally known “Chössi” small theater. During the theater season (from September to June), there is usually a lively cultural operation with dance/theater/music or comedy on Saturdays. And this in the middle of beautiful Toggenburg, 100 meters from Lichtensteig train station. Starting point in summer and winter for Churfirsten, St. Gallen and Lake Zurich.

OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES Our cat also lives in the attic, which shares the bathroom and the living room. It has a parking in front of the house and a seating area with a fireplace. The beautiful lodging is combined with an older farmhouse, which is located more remote and surrounded by woods and meadows with views of the beautiful Glarus mountains. In this area you can enjoy the tranquillity, as a leisure activity there are many places of interest and sports facilities, such as hiking in the mountains of Amden or on the Speer - King of the Pre-Alps. If the weather is fine, you can enjoy a fantastic view of Lake Constance.
